• Installs, modifies, repairs, maintains, troubleshoots, and tests electrical circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls and equipment in compliance with the National Electric Code.

• Engages in complete initial installation of changeover of electrical lighting systems, circuits, and essential wiring, including all types of switches, multi-breakers, and panels.
• Directs and evaluates contractor performance of adjustments, replacement and repairs to governors, regulators, switches, fuel cutoff devices, burners, fuel feed and flame safeguard controls, steam gland seals, bearings, and drive gears.
• Develops specifications, sketches, list of materials, and estimates of costs for construction projects, modifications of facilities and equipment.

• Analyzes data for routine projects; applies knowledge of the organizational mission, projects, programs and processes to assess products and to streamline processes.
• Performs preliminary analysis of data for complex projects in support of senior analysts.
• Under the guidance of the SIG Chief or senior analysts, works with agency staff to develop briefings for the Command that deliver key mission-related data to stakeholders.
• Receives higher headquarters taskers, action items, and operation orders, analyzes them for applicability, and assigns suspense requirements to agency staff.

Serves as a receptionist for visitors entering the institution, provides necessary information, and arranges for contacts with appropriate departments.

Processes all visitors entering the institution by checking their identification, and using a metal detector to ensure no weapons and contraband enter the institution.

Checks all visitors' identification upon departure from the institution to ensure against potential inmate escapes.

Initiates and responds to numerous calls within the institution, ascertaining the caller’s identity before any exchange of information.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.

The Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA) interact with both internal and external customers providing exceptional customer service and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
