As our Housing and Property expert, you?ll support our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a complete housing management service, you?ll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts. Working with the care team on site, you will connect with your customers and provide activities and ideas to ensure Duddon Mews is a great place to live.
Typical day as a Housing Management Support Worker (known to us as Management Housing Worker)
- Working within our Extra care/older persons? service.
- Making sure that our customer's properties are homes they can be proud of, you?ll provide support by engaging and involving them in all aspects of their tenancies.
- Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.
- You'll turn around vacant properties within set timescales for maximum occupancy, to support new customers who need our help.
- You?ll carry out and record the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities making sure we?re compliant.
- You?ll also manage the admin updating records, ordering, and arranging payment for works to be done.

You bring
- A background in property management, but that?s not a deal breaker! Perhaps you?ve worked in an environment with compliance and health and safety checks?
- A ?can do? positive attitude, you?re proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.
- The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
- Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners.
- Passion for property and get a thrill out of knowing that your properties are the best they can be for our customers!

Job details
- Preferably mornings but we are flexible to fit in with our customers and you.
- 5 days per week, Monday to Friday.
- Based at our service in Millom you?ll occasionally spend your time travelling around the properties in Cumbria.
- Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims, and doing tenancy signs ups.
- To get from A to B, you?ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we?ll pay your mileage!
- You?ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
