Typical day as a Support Worker
• Assisting customers with practical, daily living tasks to develop their independence, helping them to achieve the goals, aspirations and outcomes documented in their support plans.
• Running customer activities in the service, encouraging customers to interact with other customers and build the skills they need to achieve independence.
• You will support customers to access external groups and agencies to build up their own support networks for when they are ready to move into independent accommodation.
• You would be supporting customers to build the skills they need to maintain permanent independent accommodation. This might be things like budgeting, paying bills, setting up utilities, ensuring their property is clean and tidy, cooking good healthy meals.
• Liaising with external agencies and brining those agencies around the table to provide the support your customers need to hit their goals.
• Working with customers to secure permanent accommodation.

• We provide 24-hour support, so you’ll work on a rota basis with shifts between 07:00am and 10:00pm, taking your turn to work days, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Example shifts include 07:00-14:45, 17:00-21:00 and 14:00-22:00.
• Where we’re flexible with you, we do need to meet the needs of our customers. That may mean adapting your start or finishing times on occasion.
• Although you’ll work shifts, we do get together regularly for training and team meetings.
• Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans.

You have

• Experience of the full development process with a residential developer, contractor or consultant in the construction or housebuilding industry. You’ll have a good technical knowledge in identifying defects, snags and general construction quality in new homes.

At ETAAS we always keep the customer at the heart of what we do, your observational skills and knowledge of our customers will help inform planned and unplanned support to enable our customers to maintain their temporary accommodation. Feel safe, valued and secure in their temporary homes.

We’re looking for a Supported Housing Concierge to join our growing team. Here at Homegroup we look after our vulnerable customers, but also those with quite complex care needs. Your job will be to make sure our customers are safe, our buildings are secure and pleasant places to be, and that we get on with our neighbours.

Typical shift as a Housing Concierge

• If you want a quiet and calm role, then this is not the job for you!


• There is so much more involved than just being, stuck in an office monitoring CCTV or patrolling the premises.


• The first line of support for our customers when our wider team or their own support network aren’t around to help!


• You’ll manage the health and safety of the building, patrolling to check fire doors, making sure everything is locked and secure.


• Thinking on your feet and manage a situation on the spot, such as investigating suspicious activity or raising the alarm when we need to engage the emergency services and at times be a listening ear.

Our team

You’ll join Calvin our service manager, who joined Homegroup as a night Support Coordinator developing his skills, moving to a Day Support Coordinator role and now is managing the service after a completing a secondment as part of our Grow Our Own at another service. He is passionate that with the right support and guidance we can ensure the most vulnerable people in society can receive person centred support, with a firm belief in housing first.

You will join our newly formed ETAAS team supporting customers rebuild their lives after periods of street homelessness or a breakdown in current accommodation. Joining Lee who is new to Home Group but has a wealth of life experience and knowledge, Khloe who joined us as a concierge and has excelled and developed her skills has progressed to a Support Coordinator role within the same service. Tracey our Housing Management Coordinator has worked within two different projects and areas of the business moving from a specialist mental health support role to being an integral part of our service.

• Working on a 2 week (rolling) rota between the hours of 07:00 and 19:30.


• Although you’ll work days this is not a lone working setting we operate double cover at all times. We do get together regularly (in the daytime and occasionally evenings) for training and team meetings.

You have

• City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in plumbing and heating or equivalent and ACS accredited in CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CPA1 and CENWAT.
• Experience in gas and heating works in domestic housing.
• Fault finding experience and an excellent knowledge to ensure gas servicing and repairs are diagnosed and repaired effectively.
• Experience in other building trade areas (multi skilled).
• A flexible approach, able to use your own initiative and judgement.
• A full current driving licence, as you will be provided with a company van for business use and commuting.

Job details

• Working Monday to Friday, you’ll also take part in our out of hours service on a rota basis, receiving an additional generous on call payment of up to £525 per week.
• Our office base is in Maryport, Cumbria and the wider team cover the North Lakes.

We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our fantastically skilled North Tyneside Transitions team as a Support Coordinator! You’ll help our customers lead meaningful lives with person-centered support for daily activities, appointments, and more. Our customers, all of whom are supported under Section 117 aftercare from the Mental Health Act, rely on us to live independently in the community.

You’ll work closely with social workers and treatment teams to ensure wrap-around support. You’ll assist customers transitioning from hospital into our fully-furnished properties or through floating support for those living in their own homes. For Homegroup residents, you’ll also handle tenancy management, benefits, and property checks (with full training). Based at Railway Terrace, you’ll cover North Tyneside alongside an inspiring, supportive team ready to welcome you!

Typical day as a support coordinator

• Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, medication prompts, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy.


• Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.


• Attending MDT meetings for customers and working collaboratively with other professionals involved in customers care.


• Use technology to complete admin tasks (customer notes, safeguarding, incident reporting, support planning)


• Providing tenancy management including ensuring customers have all correct benefits as well as monthly property checks (Which can be added into a support session) as well as reporting any repairs.


• Cuppas, chats and catch ups, Plenty of time to collaborate with colleagues too.

You bring
