We have an exciting opportunity to join the bank as a Technical Lead. Here you'll be accountable for technology assets and end to end technology processes related to the Ledger Transformation program, focussing on our Retail and Corporate platforms, and will be working with other CFO, CRO, CIO teams, as well as CDO to deliver a fully integrated state of the final Ledger technology solution over the next 2 to 3 years.
You'll be responsible for executing the strategy, for the implementation of roadmaps and plans; and for delivering the associated workstreams against these outcomes, together with the Business Lead for the Retail and Corporate products.

The difference you'll make:
- Delivering the strategy, implementation roadmaps and plans for the new General Ledger and the architecture and processes impacted by the transformation
- Managing the successful delivery of all associated workstreams in your scope and realising the agreed strategy and roadmap from a technology perspective
- Working in full collaboration with the nominated Business Lead to design and develop solutions to meet the regulatory, audit (both internal and external) demands as well as CFO business aspirations in terms of efficient processes and quality outputs for the program
- Ensuring Santander adopts leading practice digital architecture patterns, leveraging best in class external solutions in their fullest, as well as internal capabilities
- Ensuring that all relevant regulatory, audit and compliance requirements are engineered into the program being delivered
- Acting as an advocate for Agile Ways of Working by championing this model across the Ledger replacement program
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in delivering complex end-to-end technology solutions with significant exposure and regulatory scrutiny
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with short term delivery of value
- Demonstrable experience influencing at a senior and executive level while building collaborative and trusted internal networks that achieve the desired goals
- Driven leader with the will to build an effective and responsive team in a dynamic and uncertain environment
- Deep experience of working on Ledger technology assets and data and good accounting understanding
- Technical skills and ability to do complex systems transformation, including data migration, certification and deployment techniques
It would also be nice for you to have:
Experience in modern application and data architectures including cloud-hosted solutions
Proven experience implementing and deploying SaaS based solutions, working with the business to ensure minimal tailoring of the out-of-the-box package that minimise time to market while maximising long term value and sustainability

This is a Fixed Term Contract position until end Feb 2026.
The role is based in Milton Keynes and current expectation is at least 2 days in the office every week.
