You’ll manage the technical quality of our schemes in the South region working collaboratively with our Development and Delivery colleagues, advising on the technical and quality aspects of the design, specifications and standards, as well as carrying out regular inspections. Typical day as Technical Quality Manager

• Driving technical design and quality of our schemes through reviewing documentation and drawings as sufficiently describing the works and meeting Building Safety requirements, providing technical sign off where required.
• Managing inspections and reporting at key build stages (including up to handover and at the end of the defect liability period), referring to plans, photographing works, taking measurements and checking materials.
• Attending pre-construction site meetings and other technical project meetings to provide technical and quality input.
• Ensuring homes are delivered on time and programme risks managed, working closely with project teams, carrying out regular reviews on contractors’ progress of works against programmes and providing advice on handover dates and program risks.
• Regular monitoring and recording of inspections by Building Control and NHBC/Warranty, tracking issues raised and ensuring they are rectified. Supporting the teams to hold contractors to account for quality, workmanship and safety on our construction sites at all times.

You have

• Experience of the full development process with a residential developer, contractor or consultant in the construction or housebuilding industry. You’ll have a good technical knowledge in identifying defects, snags and general construction quality in new homes.
• An up-to-date knowledge of regulations, codes and standards, including materials, trades, methods and legal requirements.
• Hold a relevant degree (or equivalent professional experience) alongside a professional accreditation such as RICS, CIOB, ICWCI, RIBA or equivalent or be working towards this.
• As safety is of paramount importance, a detailed understanding of Health & Safety regulations, with experience of ensuring sites and assets remain safe. You’ll hold, or be prepared to work toward, a site safety accreditation such as CSCS or equivalent.
• You’ll have a good eye for detail, be a great influencer, with a good understanding of the external environment and our place within it.

The difference you will make as an Assurance Manager

You will lead, manage and deliver a quality, effective, Business Assurance Services Team within the Building Safety Department. Assess risk and manage a prioritised programme of reviews, providing assurance to senior leaders and the governance community that our policies, strategies, improvement plans, and operational services meet legislative and regulatory requirements, and will deliver the required outcomes in line with our Corporate Objectives. lead the approach to setting and monitoring national standards for building safety and compliance, including the quality framework, leading the implementation and monitor adherence to standards and associated business processes.

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience undertaking a business assurance role within housing or health and safety sector
• Knowledge and experience in the application of quality assessment frameworks and techniques.
• Knowledge of Social housing, building safety or health and safety regulatory requirements.
• Experience undertaking analysis of data, service delivery and to undertaking reviews, including ‘deep dives and analysis, identifying issues or areas for improvement and working with the business to implement change, new ways of working.
• Proven ‘self-starter,’ motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to write clear and concise reports for a variety of audiences.

. To undertake audits in line with the CRD rolling audit program. To undertake monitoring of studies and trial documentation. To liaise with CRD research delivery staff and the wider trust, e.g. laboratory managers & Consultants, to ensure appropriate QA processes are implemented and adhered to. 2. To liaise with Research Governance Manager to review critical and major findings resulting from internal/external inspections and to produce and implement CAPA reports 3. To assist with the review and closure of CAPA reports 4. To provide oral and written reports on activities to the Research Governance manager in line with overall responsibilities. 5. To undertake relevant training. To perform any other duties required by Research Governance Manager Communication and Relationships Provide written, verbal and presentation updates and reports on a regular basis with CRD & CRF Operational team including senior medical staff, senior managers, nursing and service support staff such as pharmacy, laboratory, medical records. Liaises with external sponsors of trials Liaise with colleagues in RLBUHT Clinical Research Unit as required to support the joint Alder Hey/RLBUHT CRF strategy Confident in their ability to cascade clear, concise information in a timely manner Analytical and Judgemental skills Identify, analyse and extract relevant data to assist in completion of monitoring reports Planning and Organisational skills A high degree of QA & organisational skills required to ensure that correct procedures are followed in terms of clinical trials and that trial procedures are followed as per protocol High degree of organisational skills required to set up and maintain to support the Research Governance and Quality Assurance manager in embedding and delivery of QA process for clinical research Physical Dexterity Keyboard skills Physical requirement for prolonged periods of concentration when cross referencing information and data Frequent need to carry cumbersome trial files from clinical areas and within the offices Policy and Service Development Requirement to keep up to date with policy developments pertaining to QA and support implementation where necessary e.g. ICH GCP To provide information regarding the performance of the CRF/CRD vs QA metrics across the portfolio Education and Training To act as a QA resource for CRD/CRF staff and others involved in research studies within the trust To maintain an awareness of current advances in QA clinical research To continue professional development and attend training and meetings as required. Attend regular updates and feedback to multi-disciplinary team on developments in regulatory guidelines pertaining to QA for clinical research Attend annual UKCRF conference if required Research and Development As a member of the multi-disciplinary team there will be involvement in the entire process of supporting clinical trials and other research studies.
