Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust applications within the healthcare domain.
Designs, codes or configures, tests, debugs, deploys, documents and maintains large and/or complex programs, using a variety of software development toolkits, programming languages, testing/verification applications and other tools, while adhering to specific development best practices and quality standards. Gathers business requirements, translating that information into detailed technical specifications from which programs will be written or configured, and validating that the proposed applications align with the architectural design and with the business needs. Drives process leadership for work groups, and product/service delivery strategy and work plans. May be responsible for successful completion of projects or phases of projects. Other responsibilities may include deep troubleshooting and issue analysis, as well as coding, testing and implementing software enhancements and/or applying patches. Staff members in this position are skilled, effective and self-sufficient in working within a diverse technology portfolio, and regularly provide guidance and training to less experienced Application Development Analysts.
Essential Functions
- Design and Development:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze system needs, and design efficient solutions.
- Design, develop, support, and maintain reusable and reliable code.
- Implement best coding practices that follow architectural direction.
- Demonstrate the ability to use secure coding techniques that adhere to best practices.
- Technical Leadership:
- Serve as a mentor to other developers and ensure adherence to coding standards and design patterns.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Agile Teamwork:
- Embrace agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) to deliver high-quality software.
- Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and QA teams to iterate on features.
- Adapt to changing requirements and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Required Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalence in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL or other related database technologies.
- Strong proficiency with other programming languages or systems e.g. C++, C#, Python, AWS, Informatica, Angular, or other related technologies.
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts and design fundamentals.
- Experience:
- Required 5 or more years of hands-on development experience.
- Worked in an agile environment with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively with business and IT stakeholders.
