Job Description
IT Program Managers will effectively deliver business results by building a culture of accountability and consistent application of project and program management practices. IT Program Managers facilitate teams and motivate others working across departments and entities within and who partner with El Camino Health to ensure collaboration, communication, visibility, and successful delivery of programs and projects. This role is inherently cross-functional.
The IT Program Manager III is capable of managing the most complex technology programs and may be assigned to develop a program concept or strategy from inception to implementation. IT Program Managers III will successfully deliver large high visibility business initiatives and/or multiple complex, but smaller important programs. The IT Program Manager III is accountable for achieving goals, timelines, risk mitigation and data management programs that impact El Camino Health. The Program Manager is accountable for ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement.
Job Description
1. Lead program team and deliver strategic value. Partner with the program sponsor and stakeholders to define the program key deliverables and roadmap.
2. Plan and manage large, complex technical programs that may consist of multiple projects or teams. Through effective program management, drive delivery of project and program work from matrix team
3. Direct and accountable for organizational change management with key stakeholders
4. Step in to manage projects or aspects of projects within the programs you own, as needed.
5. Anticipate and mitigate risk by conducting assessments across the program to determine if the implementation plans meet stakeholder requirements and will achieve strategic objectives.
6. Communicate to inform and influence key stakeholders and end-users
7. Apply LEAN methodologies to identify core problems or opportunities within processes. Leverage matrix team to prevent and resolve issues
8. Help matrix team or other junior program and project managers to refine their individual project management skills and behaviors.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree with 8 years related work experience or equivalent education/training OR Master’s degree in related field with 4 years related work experience. Degree in information technology, industrial engineering or engineering, business or health care related field preferred.
2. U.S. Hospital or ambulatory clinical settings experience preferred
3. Demonstrated experience in managing large, complex programs
4. A documented record of accomplishment of program/project Management in multiple areas of Information Technology.
5. Expert level skill with MS Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills
7. Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills
8. Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
9. Moderate to expert levels of knowledge around IT and healthcare sector concepts and trends
License/Certification/Registration Requirements
1. PMP certification preferred
Salary Range:
$71.53 - $107.30 USD Hourly
