The Inventory Control Officer role, reporting to the Supply Chain Manger, will be responsible for overseeing the ordering, distribution and storage of goods, throughout Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will ensure all clinical and non-clinical goods are in place ready for clinical need.

The post holder will receive, check, receipt, distribute, order, and provide inventory control, whilst maintaining appropriate stock levels. They will support the supply chain and inventory redesign programme across the hospital.
To support the Supply Chain Manager to deliver and manage the supply of medical, non-medical consumables and PPE to end user departments across Homerton University Hospital and Community sites.
The post holder will be proactive, pragmatic and customer focused. In turn, the post holder will be fully supported and encouraged to develop their own thoughts and ideas to improve the service.
Alongside the day-today duties of the role, the post holders will support the the Inventory Management Solution (IMS) as part of the overall NHS Scan4Safety Programme (www.scan4safety.nhs.uk)
