About the role (Internal)

As a Helpdesk Operator, you will act as the first point of contact for all fault related issues ensuring strong and accurate customer focused skills are utilised at all times. You will own through to resolution all incidents and queries that come through to you, making sure the customer is fully updated at each step of the process. Working smartly, you will utilise all departments available to you in order to mitigate any potential or future business impact on the customer.
Key Accountabilities
1. Provide effective first level support for all business related issues and Second line support to customers logging "How do I…?" calls relating to certain standard applications
2. On behalf of customers, own and manage incidents and issues through to completion
3. Accurately log, assign and update call records with all of the relevant information and track through to closure.
4. Adhere to processes relevant to each issue to meet the business need and to minimise business impact.
5. Notify, through escalation, all protracted issues or process failures to the line manager.
6. Responsible for raising user awareness of basic software skills and best practice methods in the use of standard Network Rail software and hardware tools, to improve overall productivity and reduce the number of issues raised.

The Elderly Care team with 14 funded Consultant Geriatrician posts (13 in place) currently provide a wide range of hospital and community based services including Acute Frailty services as well as running specialist clinics for patients with Parkinsons disease, falls and general medical conditions. We have recently started a Rapid Access Clinic for Elderly as part of Frailty- Same day Emergency Care (F-SDEC). Inpatient elderly care wards include 5 acute elderly care wards and an established purpose built Acute Frailty Unit with10 Assessment beds, 22 short stay beds and 2 clinic rooms. In addition to existing services, we are seeking colleagues to take on the challenge of developing new models of care for frail elderly people in the community such as Frailty. Pioneering work has already established Integrated Locality Review meetings (MDT meetings, 4/week). Consultants are working closely with existing community teams to proactively assess and manage frail individuals in the community. We are about to open a 22 bedded Acute Unit based in a Community Hospital in Sheppey. The post holder will join the existing team of full time Consultants. The post holder will need to take responsibility for the management of patients admitted to his/her specialty Elderly Care ward (12-15 patients) routinely and those admitted under their care whilst on call for Acute Frailty. The latter would average 12-15 per on call. These patients are then streamed to Frailty Short Stay Unit if early discharge planned (<48 hours) or one of the 5 Frailty Base wards for longer admissions. Acute Frailty Unit has a dedicated Elderly care Team with 2 Consultant Geriatricians supported by their own team of junior doctors and a Multidisciplinary Team. There are 10 funded posts for Middle Grades in the department with currently 6 in post. Elderly care Consultants participate in an Acute Frailty On call service. The post-holder will be paired with another Consultant so that in a 12 week block they provide 2 weeks of weekday on call and 2 weekends on call. Full registration with the GMC and the ability to make decisions at a senior level, the role will allow you the opportunity to continue your personal development, and participate in the teaching, research and governance programs within the Department. All subspecialist interests are welcome. There is an opportunity, in negotiation with the other consultants, for participation in the running of the established clinics such as Falls and Movement Disorder Clinic. The successful applicant will also have an outpatient workload comprising of new and follow referrals for managing complex co-morbidities. Typical clinic would have 3-4 new patients and a similar number of follow-up patients. The Community Rehabilitation Service provides a flexible range of mental health interventions to help clients complex mental health needs to manage their mental health more effectively and remain in their own homes. The team works in close partnership with Social Care and housing providers to ensure each client has the necessary resources available to enable them to engage in their rehab journey. Across the Community Rehabilitation teams, the clinical team consists of Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Nurses, and VCSE Workers.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our new North Kent Community Rehabilitation Service.

Individuals will be expected to ensure the team is able provide input between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00 according to the needs of the service, including working some evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• The senior occupational therapist is an experienced occupational therapist within the multi-disciplinary care team.
• To identify, develop and provide the Occupational Therapy contribution within the multi-disciplinary service in accordance with the needs of service users and the requirements of the service.
• To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate therapeutic interventions for identified service users.
• To manage a defined caseload of service users with occupational needs using evidence based, service user centred, hope and recovery, health promotion and relapse prevention orientated principles and practice.
• To provide supervision to designated junior staff and students.

Your role at Prestige:

We are looking for a dynamic and independent care sector professional with solid care and supervisory experience and a flexible, enthusiastic and can-do attitude to join the Dartford Branch as a Field Care Supervisor.

As Field Care Supervisor you will work under the direction of the Field Care Manager or Care Planner and Branch Manager, implementing systems to ensure that a domiciliary care service is delivered meeting and exceeding legislative standards, and in accordance with company equal opportunities and health & safety policy

Responsibilities:

• To undertake domiciliary care risk and manual handling assessments on new clients/service users prior to the provision of a domiciliary care service
• To maintain an effective system in consultation with the Field Care Manager or Care Planner and Branch Manager for quality assurance management based on the outcomes for service users, in which standards and indicators to be achieved are clearly defined and monitored on a continuous basis.
• To meet domiciliary care workers formally on a one-to-one basis for the purposes of direct supervision at least quarterly and keep written records on the content and outcome of each meeting.
• To assist the Field Care Manager or Care Planner and Branch Manager with the delivery of a care assistants' development and training programme to ensure members are able to fulfil and meet the changing needs of clients and service users.
• To participate in an on-call roster providing and co-coordinating cover for unplanned absence to maintain the service.

Skills and qualifications we're looking for:

• Experience of supervising others within a Health Care setting
• Articulate with the ability to put across ideas succinctly and clearly
• Holding a valid UK driving licence and access to a car is desirable, however other travel arrangements are possible and will be taken into consideration
• Excellent assessment skills
• Office based role with a requirement to visit clients in their own homes so experience of working on own initiative - self-starter, able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
