MAIN DUTIES:

• Inspect all hotel areas to ensure both the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel’s guests are maintained and that all standard amenities and touches are provided in rooms and public areas.
• Delegate cleaning tasks to staff and other organizational tasks.
• Record missing or damaged items and arranging for the item’s repair or replacements.
• Respond to customer complaints or enquiries and reporting any problems to the supervisor.
• Maintaining an inventory of household items, uniforms, equipment and furniture.
• Ensure that health and safety rules are followed and applied in the department.
• Ensure grooming standards are followed in the department.
• Conduct necessary departmental and Accor trainings.
• Ensure that staff is cleaning and disinfecting equipment at the end of their shift.
• Work closely with the Engineering department on a daily and monthly basis to assist with the planning of the preventative maintenance program and ensure that the rooms are being maintained in the best possible and most efficient way.
• Collaborate with other departments in the hotel in particular with the front office team ensuring efficient turnaround of rooms and minimization of spoilage/damage.
• Identify and follows up ordering needs.
• Manage the Laundry team.

As the Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible for one of the biggest departments in the hotel. Your influence on the team will ensure the delivery of an exceptional customer experience. You will be in charge of the entire housekeeping team and ensure due to your excellent knowledge and management skills that all guest rooms and public areas are sufficiently cleaned and up to the high standards. Further you will provide the team members with guidance and training , implement SOPs, LSOPs and ensure well maintained guest facilities.

• Excellent knowledge of word processing.
• Responsible for the preparation of office correspondence using appropriate format, as set by the company, regarding fonts, logos, etc.
• Receives, opens, and sorts all incoming business mail and arranges for the mailing of outgoing office mail for the GM and EAM/HM.
• Handles all office correspondence and information with discretion and confidentiality.
• Maintaining and updating a conventional office filing system which provides for easy access to data requests.
• To maintain an electronic filing system on his/her assigned PC’s hard disc.
• To keep meeting minutes when required.
• Answering, screening and transferring phone calls for the GM.
• Schedules appointments for the GM and keeps him informed and updated.

• Receives information from the EAM/HM, Director of Rooms, FOM, AFOM in order to prepare the GM’s welcome letter for all hotel VIP’s.
• Ensures proper distribution of information from the GM’s office to all concerned and vice versa.
• Keeps the GM informed on routine matters relevant to the operation of the hotel.
• During the GM’s absence, he/she prepares a daily summary of major happenings in order to update the GM upon arrival, or upon request.
• Ensures correct flow of information by becoming familiar with the organizational chart and company hierarchy.

Role Purpose

• To lead the AMEA & JANZ PPM  & VC marketing & technical service  team to deliver profitable growth in both established and emerging markets.
• Drive and coordinate commercial portfolio, brand and offer strategies for the AMEA & JANZ PPM business with input from countries and global marketing and ensure that the portfolio required to drive the business is put in place (products, services and offers). Give R&D direction for new product/crop solution developments based on Business case.
• Develop and implement the annual Regional Marketing Plan (campaign and brand) and NPI programme for the AMEA & JANZ PPM & VC portfolio ensuring coherent positioning, pricing and in-market activities.
• Work closely with, and provide direction and support where necessary, to SPS Country Managers, in-country Syngenta staff (Marketing Communications, Technical, Development, Supply Chain) and external consultants working on Syngenta’s behalf.
• Develop a deep understanding of the PPM & VC markets, operating environment and competitors within AMEA & JANZ to enable the development of effective strategies, and lobbying plans along with the development of compelling offers which drive market share growth.
• Coordinate regional pricing strategy set the pricing corridor and GP targets.
• Provide Leadership as a member of the SPS AMEA & JANZ LT

Accountabilities

• Develop and gain approval for the 5 year rolling plan for the AMEA & JANZ PPM & VC business which is consistent with global strategy and creates compelling product and service offers based on a deep understanding of customer needs, decision drivers and competitor activity.
• Develop portfolio and brand strategies and registration plans for AMEA & JANZ and develop compelling product launch and integration plans which create enthusiasm and deliver rapid sales growth across the region.
• Develop compelling NPI launch and campaign plans which engage customers and drive growth
• Support the Commercial team to develop regional GTM models which improve the competitive position for Syngenta.  Work with countries to support the implementation of new or enhance existing models to drive value for Syngenta.
• Propose and deliver the regional PPM budget and deliver the business (sales, gross Margin) in line with the key performance indicators agreed with the Head AMEA & JANZ Professional Solutions
• Define pricing corridor for the portfolio and monitor key-competitors price movement and take the necessary measures in junction with the key country business managers to deliver the budget

• Monitor and develop new emerging market segment by assessing 3rd party products opportunities to fill portfolio gaps.
• Effectively engage with global, regional and country organisations to create good understanding of the PPM & VC business.

• Utilise formal and informal market research techniques to evaluate and measure market opportunities and provide a solid basis on which to introduce brands, services and portfolio offers.
