Monday to Sunday 0800-1600, 1430-0000, 1600-0000 and 1000-1800 on a alternating shift pattern
Will also be trained to work in the waste department to cover shifts as and when required

2. Mortuaryduties
(a) Bodiestobetransportedtothemortuaryasrequired.
(b) Intheabsenceofthemortuaryassistantto:
- Arrangeaccesstothemortuaryforappropriatepersonsasdirected.
- It may be necessary to assist Ambulance crews and/or Contracted Funeral Directorduring admission.
3. Deliveries
Toprovideacollectionanddeliveryserviceasrequiredforinternalspecimens,theatre/x-raylists.
4. Equipment,FurnitureandFittings
- Patient related equipment to be clean and in good repair, defects to be reported to the Duty Team Leader.
- Furnitureandotherequipmenttobemovedaroundthehospitalswhenandwhererequired.
5. MedicalGas
- Thedeliveryofempty/full cylindersasrequired. This will include manifold rooms and associated piped gas systems.
- Toattendtoorreportanydefectswiththemedicalgassupplyasrequired.
6. EmergencyProcedures
Toattendtheappropriatewardordepartmentimmediatelywiththeappropriateequipmentandassistanceuponhearingthealarmsfor:
- Cardiacarrest / Lucas Machine
- Majorincident, Hazchem and CBRN incidents
- Traumas
- Helicopterlanding
- Firealarm
- Patient Collapse
