Responsibilities

As an Automotive Technician, you would be an integral part of our day to day functions.

• Predominantly workshop based with mobile capability
• Taking care of general vehicle repair and maintenance duties
• Carry out preventative maintenance inspections ensuring all vehicles are safe and road tested
• Prepare all vehicles for MOT
• Service and maintain all vehicles to the highest standard

About the RoleAs a member of our driving team, you will be the public face of Royal Mail and an established part of the community. Much of your day will be spent driving, you will be collecting bulk mail from major customer, Post Offices and transporting mail between our Mail Centres and Delivery offices at prearranged times. Part of the role will be loading and unloading your van and sorting it into correct onward distribution.

Driving Licence Requirements

A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address), having less than 6 penalty points is essential but ideally a clean licence is preferred, please note you will be required to show this at assessment. You must have obtained your Periodic Driver Certificate of Professional Competence qualification (CPC) and hold a valid Drivers Qualification Card (DQC) with 35 hours training to be eligible to apply and will need to be able to present your Digital Tachograph Card, if selected for assessment.

Pay and Benefits

You will be paid weekly, increments at 6 months and 12 months are subject to satisfactory performance.

Starting Salary

£602.60 per week pro rata
Plus overtime and shift allowance

Hours of work: This is a reserved role offering various shift patterns, mornings, afternoons, nights and weekend.

• Negotiable based on experience and qualifications - up to 10% salary increase available in first year dependent on performance

Responsibilities

As an Automotive Technician, you would be an integral part of our day to day functions.

• Predominantly workshop based with mobile capability
• Taking care of general vehicle repair and maintenance duties
• Carry out preventative maintenance inspections ensuring all vehicles are safe and road tested
• Prepare all vehicles for MOT
• Service and maintain all vehicles to the highest standard
• Whenever called upon, attend breakdowns

Qualifications

• A Full UK / Irish / EU Class C or CE (formerly Class 1 or 2) Manual Driving Licence
• 6 points or fewer on your driving licence (for insurance purposes)
• Aged 21 or above (for insurance purposes)
• Level 3 NVQ or Equivalent in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance

An opportunity with immediately start has become available for a experienced Forklift Truck drivers / warehouse operatives in the LE15 Area. Your duties will include loading and unloading HGV's, moving wood and wood pallets to and from the factory and general warehouse duties as required.


It is essential that you have a forklift licence with at least 6 months of experience.

You will need to have a RTITB or ITSAAR accredited licence within the last 3 years
