The Hotel Assistant Manager Role:

As a Hotel Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Hotel General Manager in supporting the running of a compliant and efficient Hotel. You will work closely with the Hotel team to deliver a smooth service in all departments in accordance with Company guidelines. You will be responsible for all aspects of the Hotel in the General Manager’s absence, being the main point of contact for both guest and employee queries.

This role would be ideally suited to a candidate with Hotel Management experience or a comparable managerial role. This role offers a base salary of £32,500 per annum dependent on the candidate, Live in accommodation within the Hotel can be considered initially if required alongside a number of other benefits.

Key Tasks:


Responsibility for all aspects of the Hotel in General Manager’s absence, usually over 2 days per week and annual leave.
Assisting the General Manager in the recruitment, on-boarding, training and supervision of all Hotel employees.
Responsibility in conjunction with the General Manager for the on-site Health and Safety and compliance of the Hotel. Maintaining the safety standards for both guests and employees at all times.
Overseeing the smooth running of your designated departments as determined by the weekly rota and undertaking training in all departments as instructed by the General Manager.
Working in any department within the Hotel as and when required, usually 3 days per week.
Preparation, circulation and management of the weekly Rotas.
Responsibility for the safety and security of the building, including all stock, floats and keys.
Completion of weekly timesheets, stock takes and finalising the weekly sheet.
To be pro-active in monitoring future sales and liaising with Central Office to maximise occupancy.
Ensuring that all systems are maintained correctly by all relevant Reception teams and providing training as required.
Ensuring there are adequate provisions in the Hotel so that orders are placed with suppliers accurately and in good time.
Receiving and checking deliveries as required.
Assisting the General Manager with coach group arrivals and departures and taking responsibility in the General Manager’s absence.
Maintaining company records in respect of lost property, maintenance items, and security of keys, reporting of accidents, contractors and visitors.
Compliance with all relevant legislation concerning the service of alcoholic beverages, health and safety at work, fire safety, food hygiene and any other legal requirements that may be brought to your attention.

Alfa Leisureplex Group has an opportunity for an Interchange Supervisor to join the Alfa Coaches team based at Tamworth Services, Tamworth, Staffordshire.

You will join us on a Permanent basis and you will receive a competitive rate of £16.86 or £50.58 per 3 hour session.

Role Responsibilities:

You will work at Tamworth Services on a part time basis, usually working a session of 3 hours at a time. The ideal applicant will be flexible with working hours.

As the Interchange Supervisor you will have responsibility for the smooth operation of the coach interchange sessions. The main aspects of your role will be to make sure customers have a first-class experience in the transition from the interchange to their coach and onward bound to their holiday or home. You will liaise with both Alfa and 3rd party coach drivers to make sure they are parked in the correct bays and assist with the transfer of luggage safely and securely.

You will be the natural point of contact for customers, answering any questions they may have and assisting where appropriate. Supervision of the on-site team and the planning of the resource needed in relation to the numbers passing through the interchange will also be a key aspect of the role.

Close liaison with the Traffic Office based at Wheelton, Lancashire via telephone will be required. You will be required to be a well organised individual with the ability to read information and complete a small amount of paperwork for each session.

Hours of work:

Part Time – Mid September to Mid April: 2 sessions a week (usually Monday and Friday), although we don’t operate in January besides the returning new year’s tours on the 2 January 2024.

Mid April to Mid September: 2-6 sessions a week (usually Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday and some Mondays and Fridays)

About the job

As the Management Accountant for Alfa you will have an important part to play in producing the management accounts for Alfa Travel, our Tour Operator Division and Alfa Coaches, our Coach Operator Division. Main accountabilities


Production of the management accounts for Alfa Travel and Alfa Coaches
Overseeing the collection of debt on a timely basis in conjunction with the accounts assistants
Overseeing the purchase ledger for the Alfa companies
Overseeing the withdrawl of funds from the customer trust fund and the reconciliation of bank accounts
Ensuring company card transactions are reconciled and accounted for
Intercompany invoicing and reconciliation of intercompany accounts

Kitchen Assistant working hours:

As a Kitchen Assistant you will work 35 hours per week, including weekends & split shifts with an hourly rate of £11.00 – Regardless of age; which will be increasing to £12.00 in April 2024!

Being a Kitchen Assistant:

Your main task as a Kitchen Assistant will be to assist the Chefs with food preparation and service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen at all times, including washing pots and cleaning equipment. As and when required, this role will also support the Chefs with cooking food, making this an ideal opportunity for those who are looking to progress their career in the kitchen.

Night Porter working hours:

As a Night Porter you will work 14 hours per week, including weekends & split shifts with an hourly rate of £12.25 – Regardless of age; which will br increasing to £13.35 in April 2024!

Being a Night Porter:

Your main takes as a night porter will be to be a point of contact in the evening within the Hotel, usually between the hours of 23:00pm to 07:00am. You will be responsibility for making sure the hotel is secure overnight and that any guest issues are dealt with effectively. You will be required to walk the hotel regularly and oversee the reception area as required. Light cleaning of public areas will also be needed.
