Job Description:
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Provide a wide array of support for community-based evaluation projects including participant recruitment, tracking and retention, data collection within required timeframes,
data entry, database maintenance, and provision of ongoing internal and external reports.
This role will also assist the evaluator in the dissemination and utilization of evaluation information and other grant requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Research Planning and Management
Participate as an active team member in the planning, implementation and maintenance of grant projects (e.g., provide project management assistance, provide ongoing information for project improvement and model fidelity, etc.).
Serve as a liaison between grant officials, program staff, and the evaluation team
Data Collection, Management, and Analysis
Ensures that all data are collected and submitted as required by funding agencies (e.g., follow-up percentages met, databases developed, data entered and cleaned within time requirements).
Competent in the use of personal computers and software (i.e. Excel, Access, SPSS, Atlas ti) Able to perform basic qualitative and/or quantitative data analysis
Writing and Dissemination
Able to communicate clearly and effectively with staff, supervisors and others
Possesses organizational and project management skills to maintain records and coordinate other tasks.
Skilled in speaking and writing to persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
Participation in grant reporting
Organizational Development
Participate in Program Evaluation initiatives that contribute to the overall success and development of the division and Centerstone as a whole.
Participate in internal workgroups and/or committees that contribute to the overall success and the division
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Research Associate II may supervise Research Associate I level employees and or Research Technicians. Supervision includes managing employee timesheets, PTO requests, weekly meetings to mentor, coach, and instruct employees in all aspects of his/her job as well as his/her professional growth.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Capacity to work both independently as well as within a team
- Capacity and interest in learning how to apply social science research methods to the field of evaluation, which aims to improve the performance or efficiency of individuals, groups, programs, policies, government and others.
- Capacity to manage responsibilities and prioritize tasks in an environment with many activities and competing priorities.
- Familiarity with behavioral sciences.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Level
Bachelor’s degree required in social sciences, mental health or related field required.
Years of Experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in program evaluation or research, and superior performance on an evaluation or research project required.
