An opportunity has arisen in Conwy for a permanent role as a Deputy Residential Manager in our new care home in Mochdre.

We do this by providing children and young people with a safe and supportive environment and a fulfilling experience where their voice is heard and centred on their individual needs and what’s important to them.


We look for people who share our values and we are seeking to recruit a Deputy Residential Manager to join our team.

This is a real opportunity to influence the development of the new service and embed trauma informed child centred therapeutic practice into the day to day running of the home. The children you support will have experienced numerous adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and you, by supporting the Registered Manager in leading the team, will ensure that they are able to help young people understand and recover from their experiences and develop new skills and resilience into adult life.

As the deputy manager you will be required to support the registered manager to:
• Manage the delivery of operational responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with the standards within the regulated service.
• Ensure services are delivered in line with the Social Services Well Being Act.

Llys Elian is a 27 bedded residential home for older people living with Dementia, there are three permanent living houses, one respite house and a day centre.

If you are empathetic, and passionate about delivering excellent care - we would like to hear from you as we are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic person to work within our residential home.

Your role will be to offer practical and emotional support to individuals with all aspects of daily living tasks such as personal care, maintaining independence, administering medication, hobbies and life skills.

Training will be given and pay will be at an enhanced hourly rate

By working at night you must demonstrate the ability to ensure the safety and security of individuals and the Building, by ensuring awareness and confidence in the agreed emergency procedures.

You will be expected to be a good communicator and will be involved in communicating with a variety of people from individuals receiving services, family’s and friends as well as other care professionals such as GP’s and Social workers.

You will be expected to work as part of a team to maintain and improve individuals wellbeing – reporting concerns to senior staff and managers.

Work base: Llandudno Swim Centre / Home

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Conwy County Borough Council’s Ffit Conwy team as part of the newly established Contact Centre team.

Applicants should have a keen interest in supporting others and delivering great customer service and ideally a commitment and interest in leisure and fitness.

The postholder will carry out a range of duties including, answering calls for Ffit Conwy, assisting in customer bookings and cross selling activities and sessions. Answering email queries and monitoring information on our social media. Applicants must be IT literate with experience of working with Microsoft Office IT packages with a pleasant telephone and written manner. Previous experience of working in a busy office environment would be an advantage.

Working hours are based on a seven day rota basis.

You will work closely with the Contact Centre Manager and colleagues across Ffit Conwy to assist in establishing an exceptional customer service experience.

If you are a strong leader, an excellent communicator and consider yourself to be professionally curious then the role of the Section Manager is for you.

You will lead the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), which is the first point of contact for all potential safeguarding concerns in relation to children, young people and adults within Conwy. It is a multi-agency service that works together sharing information, knowledge and experience to early identify safeguarding concerns and provide a robust decision making forum.

Conwy’s IT&DT Department is looking for an enthusiastic, commited individual to join their IT Systems and Support Division as an IT Officer within the Finance and Efficiencies Support Team. Duties will include installing and maintaining personal computers, peripherals, iPads, mobile devices and printers. Duties will also include troubleshooting and resolving IT issues reported by users, developing innovative new solutions that meet our users’ requirements, and developing expertise in agreed technical fields. Experience with supporting and troubleshooting technical solutions in a large corporate environment would be advantageous.

This position will require the successful candidate to demonstrate initiative, a flair for innovation, and the ability to understand and learn technical concepts. The Authority utilises a wide array of technologies including MS 365 and Azure Active Directory, Citrix, VMWare, MS SQL, MS Exchange, SAN, all installed into an integrated Enterprise scale infrastructure. The IT department works to ITIL and Prince2 Project Management standards.

The duties of this post will require excellent soft skills due to frequent contact with computer users at all levels of the organisation. Applicants should have a good standard of Education preferably to HND, degree level or equivalent in an IT or related subject. IT technical support and / or IT system support experience and a passion for supporting IT in a customer oriented environment is essential. Candidates should also possess a high level of organisational and project management skills with a willingness to attend both technical and personal development Training to achieve appropriate professional qualifications. The post involves travel to other sites within the Authority. Good communication skills in written and spoken English are essential. The ability to speak and write in Welsh is desirable in assisting the Department to provide a bilingual service to clients.

To support our vision to be a progressive County creating opportunity we’re looking to appoint a Senior IT & Digital Transformation Analyst to lead on IT Infrastructure and Disaster Recovery.

You will lead a team of IT specialists to support and develop the Authority’s server and backup infrastructure, incorporating those in many of our schools. This will include ensuring the Council has an effective and tested Disaster Recovery process. Your resonsibilities will also include assisting the development of the skills base across the IT and Digital Transformation Service to help realise colleagues’ potential.

Good communication skills in written and spoken English are essential and the ability to speak and write through the medium of Welsh would be desirable in assisting the Department to provide a bilingual service to clients.

Conwy County Borough Council’s weekly ‘Recycle More’ service is changing the way we think about waste. The focus is on collecting clean, segregated, high-value materials that can be used to make new products. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and physically fit people who can not only collect recycling, but help our residents and customers with advice and information.

The willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions is essential. Hours of work will be 37 hours per week, with mandatory bank holiday working and up to 3 Saturday Christmas catch up collections.

Driver/Loaders must have an LGV licence, up to date and valid Driver CPC card, experience of responsibility for large, high-value vehicles. Understanding of safe working procedures and health and safety legislation is essential. Supervisory or team leader experience is advantageous as this is a team leader role.

Successful candidates may be based at any of our depots and have the capability and flexibility to drive a range of recycling and refuse vehicles.

The hours of work will be approximately 22.50 hours per week and the post will be G03 £12,309 - £12,916 per annum. £12.38 – £12.59 per hour.

An enthusiastic person is required to provide catering for the students, staff and visitors. To provide school meals in accordance with centrally agreed menus and undertake the associated supervisory duties.

The main duties of the post will include: -
1. Organise, prepare and serve food at lunchtime for the students, staff and visitors of Ysgol Babanod Llanfairfechan.
2. Provide on the job training for new cooks and colleagues.
3. Cooking the meals required, portion control, food service, ordering, washing up and cleaning of kitchen and dining room.
4. Be prepared to undergo appropriate training and development (sometimes outside normal working days/hours by prior arrangement) i.e. Intermediate Food Hygiene and Basic Nutrition.
5. Associated clerical duties.

Due to the nature of the work, it will be necessary to obtain a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as the Criminal Records Bureau).

Work base: Coed Pella

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Early Intervention and Prevention Team within the Conwy Disability Service in Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay.

The post holder will assist in the assessing for and provision of an Occupational Therapy Service for citizens of Conwy, specifically - adults and children with permanent and substantial disabilities.

Where appropriate you will provide advice and signposting if the outcome can be met in another way. Where there is an eligible need you will formulate appropriate plans, utilising creative and innovative interventions that promotes the individuals’ strengths and capabilities including the recommending of suitable equipment, assistive technology, and where required completing referrals to recommend adaptations to the citizen’s property, in order to enable citizens to remain in their own homes, reduce risk and promote independence.

As part of this role you will work in partnership with service users, their carers, and health, social care, third sector and housing agencies. In addition to making recommendations for equipment, you will also as required be involved in the fitting demonstrating of equipment, instructing individuals on the correct use of equipment as appropriate. As a service we implement a preventative approach to meeting outcomes, and as such promoting use of Telecare and other assistive technology is integral to the role.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with excellent organisation skills who is able to work in a fast paced environment. You need to have excellent communication skills and be able to work well with the public, colleagues within Health and Social Care and other professionals.

You will need to have good transferable IT skills to be able to navigate the various IT systems involved in recording of assessment, ordering of equipment and submission of referrals.

Relevant experience / qualifications of working with people with disabilities is required. A keen interest in / experience of community equipment including the use of technology used to support people with disabilities is advantageous.

The ability to communicate in English is essential for this post. The ability to converse at ease with customers in Welsh is desirable for this post.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the newly formed Mental Wellness Team in Conwy. We work closely with partners, and other services to provide specialist support and interventions for people experiencing complex needs due to ongoing psychosocial stresses.

The role of the social worker involves conducting assessments; providing therapeutic interventions; consultation to professionals and other frontline staff; providing guidance and advice to service users and their families, including ‘signposting’; supporting onward referral.

Conwy’s IT&DT Department is looking for an enthusiastic, commited individual to join their IT Systems and Support Division as an IT Officer within the IT Social Care, Education School Support Team. Duties will include installing and maintaining personal computers, peripherals, iPads, mobile devices and printers. Duties will also include troubleshooting and resolving IT issues reported by users, developing innovative new solutions that meet our users’ requirements, and developing expertise in agreed technical fields. Experience with supporting technical solutions in Social Care and Education and / or implementation of Social Care and Education Technology projects would be advantageous.

This position will require the successful candidate to demonstrate initiative, a flair for innovation, and the ability to understand and learn technical concepts. The Authority utilises a wide array of technologies including MS 365 and Azure Active Directory, Citrix, VMWare, MS SQL, MS Exchange, SAN, all installed into an integrated Enterprise scale infrastructure. The IT department works to ITIL and Prince2 Project Management standards.

The duties of this post will require excellent soft skills due to frequent contact with computer users at all levels of the organisation. Applicants should have a good standard of Education preferably to HND, degree level or equivalent in an IT or related subject. IT technical support and / or IT system support experience and a passion for supporting IT in a customer oriented environment is essential. Candidates should also possess a high level of organisational and project management skills with a willingness to attend both technical and personal development Training to achieve appropriate professional qualifications.
