Roles & Responsibilities (Quantity Surveyor):
Understand, Review, and be well-versed in preparing contract documents and drawings.
Source sub-contractors, and vendors for quotation during tendering
Evaluate quotation and costing summary for approval before tender submission
Analyse tender outcomes and prepare detailed reports for review
Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
Prepare reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other documents.
Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.
Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
Visiting various sites, as and when required. Measure data on-site in order to ensure the accuracy of the claim.
Provide measurement, cost evaluation and quotation support for engineering projects.
Preparing Monthly progress claims and certifications to Subcontractor claims in a timely manner.
Prepare monthly report, update and maintain records for all contractual relevant scopes
Undertake costs analysis for all project trade works Prepare and disseminate information to appropriate employees regarding contract status, and facilitate contractor meetings.
Ensure the contractor is in compliance with legal requirements, owner specifications, and government regulations.
Provide contract summaries and ensure contract execution in accordance with company policy.
Prepare payment claims, payment certificates, and check invoices against delivery order
Track payments and deadlines.
Roles & Responsibilities (Project Engineer):
Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the assigned scope of works
Coordinate with the internal team, clients / main contractor, architect, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
Analyse overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, performance) and report regularly
Assign responsibilities, mentor, lead project team, and attend meetings
Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
Responsible for submission of technical drawings, and work schedules to clients for approval;
Taking responsibility for structural analysis, calculation, preparation of design sketches and drawings
Review shop drawings and built drawings;
Responsible for overall aspects of the management of subcontractors;
Plan, work, schedule, and delivery of equipment and materials to the site;
Responsible for monthly progress claims and project costing;
Ensure all required permits and clearances are obtained from respective govt agencies and client
Work closely with Consultants, Regulatory Authorities, and Contractors, to provide planning, design, and supervision to solve site matters and timely completion of the projects;
Take part in the project plan and give inputs regarding implementation;
Manage Internal team, and Sub-contractors, on-site to ensure all works comply with regulatory/requirements;
Update the progress of construction work to Project / Site Manager
Keep in touch with designers, architects, consultants, and suppliers to ensure workflow is on schedule;
Ensure implementation and sustaining of construction quality and safety programme;
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Preferably Degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Structural / Construction)
Skills in MS Office, Auto Cad, Microsoft Project
Work experience: minimum 8 years of experience in the relevant field
Good communication skills in English, must have to liaise effectively with other professionals
Possess excellent negotiation, and coordination skills and able to work in fast-paced environment
