We are the Mercedes-Benz IT Regional Competence Center for Data Analytics, based in Singapore, providing support to 18 global markets in the realms of Data Analytics and Data Science.
Our core responsibilities encompass innovating, managing, and overseeing the Regional Data Lake and Refinement layer. This involves facilitating the integration of data from diverse sources, primarily focusing on Sales and beginning with Aftersales data. Within our gold data layer, we refine raw data into comprehensive insights, covering over 100 KPIs at the regional level. These insights unveil patterns, trends, and growth opportunities crucial for business decision-making.
Moreover, we spearhead various data science use cases tailored to different markets. Currently, we are looking for a Data Engineer to spearhead the design and execution of data product delivery processes. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to define data requirements and generate digital value for the organization.
The incumbent will be tasked with:
1. Data Strategy and Product Delivery:
- Investigating and comprehending the data landscape.
- Designing, developing, and managing standardized regional templates/data products.
- Ensuring the availability, reliability, and usability of KPI data.
- Aligning and steering topics in line with the target data analytics landscape.
- Managing the data analytics roadmap, epics, and sprints in conjunction with product owners.
- Developing UDP (KPI dimension and metrics) for Region Overseas and its markets.
- Implementing a Data Quality Framework (DQF) and creating DQF dashboards to facilitate a data-driven business approach.
- Agile planning with product owners to develop and refine products.
- Documenting processes for data products, sourcing, and dataset development.
- Supporting DevOps implementation on the platform.
- Cultivating a 'data-driven organization' culture.
- Informing relevant business objectives of our key customers (e.g. MS/O and Overseas Markets) and ensuring digital value of the products.
- Providing consultation to markets and business on UDM and Data Quality implementation.
2. Product and Project Management:
- Collaborating with stakeholders to co-develop a future-oriented roadmap.
- Driving IT products and features through their lifecycle, from idea to implementation and operations in a fast-paced environment
- Translating product roadmap features into requirements including features, user stories and UAT criteria.
- Working with cross-functional teams to review business needs regularly, to refine priorities, outline milestones and expedite deliverables.
- Identify opportunities and risks at all stages.
- Prioritizing and maintaining the sprint backlog using agile methodologies.
- Establishing and implementing rollout plans to meet business needs effectively.
- Aligning Scope, Timeline, Roles, and Responsibilities with various stakeholders (globally, regionally and locally).
- Adapting project activities as needed for the region.
- Ensuring adherence to IT strategies at headquarters and regional levels.
- Managing project budgets and ensuring regular communication on progress.
- Key responsible for end-to-end co-ordination of all projects rollout activities.
3. Partner Management:
Internal MB
- Facilitating communication between HQ and Overseas regions on application activities.
- Providing market requirements and strategies to align HQ and regional needs.
- Managing stakeholder expectations.
External vendors
- Managing vendors through the SDLC process.
- Collaborating with vendors to develop approved regional solutions.
- Ensuring vendor delivery aligns with specifications and KPIs.
- Supplier management and steering of external employees
4. General Responsibilities:
- Maintaining up-to-date procedure and documentation for all applications.
- Ensuring compliance with all procedures and expectations.
- Fostering a "data-driven organization" culture and supporting relevant business objectives.
- Providing market and business consultation on data infrastructure and science capabilities.
- Support the team in removing blockers and impediments.
- Conducting team performance discussions and reviews, together with General Manager

QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant Bachelor's or Master's Degree in relevant IT-related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years of strong involvement in automotive or similar industry.
- Familiarity with ITIL and experience in people management.
- Extensive knowledge of the MS Azure platform.
- Proficiency in Data Modelling Concepts, including ER Model and Start Schema Model.
- Experience with Reporting Tools, Python, SQL experiences.
- Customer Oriented and demonstrated empathy.
- Outcome-driven and adept at creative problem-solving, possessing a strong positive mindset.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on bridging business and IT interactions.
- Good understanding of Automotive Business operations.
