We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Warehouse and Distribution team as a Shipping Specialist, based at our European Manufacturing plant in Gravesend, Kent. This role currently operates Mon-Fri (0830-1730).

About the Role
As a Shipping Specialist at Moove, you'll be at the forefront of our logistics operations, ensuring seamless and efficient shipment management for both Moove and our third-party logistics providers. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with an extensive background in transport planning and freight forwarding.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipment Planning: Schedule and manage logistics using Moove’s ERP system (SAP4HANA).
Cost Management: Determine shipping methods and costs, managing day-to-day relationships with third-party logistics providers.
Coordination: Plan and release shipments for pick, pack, and dispatch by the Warehouse Team and Moove Transport team.
Routing: Manage multi-day routing for Moove Fleet across the UK.
Returns Management: Oversee the documentation and planning of returned shipments for processing at the Gravesend site.
Vendor Management: Handle daily management of hauliers and shipping partners, ensuring compliance with customer expectations and carriage law regulations.
Documentation: Prepare and verify all shipping documents for both domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
Data Management: Maintain computerized shipping records and compile reports for internal stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Drive efficiencies in vehicle utilization and third-party logistics processes.
Customer Support: Oversee customer deliveries for the Exxon Mobil Buy Back account, including order processing and reporting.
What We're Looking For
Required Experience & Skills:
Transport Planning: Proven expertise in transport planning, with a deep understanding of best practices
Freight Forwarding: Strong background in freight forwarding, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of industry standards and processes.
Shipping Expertise: Demonstrated experience in UK domestic and global shipping in a manufacturing or freight forwarding environment.
Customs: Extensive and detailed understanding of customs requirements
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (Pivot tables, V/X Lookups, Macros).
Analytical Ability: Highly analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
Export Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of international export regulations, including customs paperwork, INCOTERMS, and duty labelling.
Calm Under Pressure: Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
Patience: With colleagues and suppliers.
Organised: Methodical approach to tasks, with strong planning skills.
Open-Minded: Willing to seek support and embrace change when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
Logistics & Supply Chain Qualifications: Recognised certifications in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
Language Skills: French, Spanish, or Portuguese.
People Management Experience: Previous experience managing teams is a plus.
