Responsibilities:

• Drive optimization of plant capacity, equipment uptime and yield by safe, disciplined & cost-effective operations.
• Provide facilitative leadership and technical expertise in the daily operations of the unit to assist operators in resolving performance gaps vs. production plan.
• Optimize equipment maintenance and/or plant turnaround based on business requirements and/or production schedule.
• Review and reduce energy consumption through implementation of programs, initiatives and projects in the process and utility areas.
• Drive the development and enhancement of the skills of shift team technicians.
• Promote quality culture and drive work discipline in day and shift team operations.
• Participate in review of process and operations (through process safety management) to enhance process safety.
• Develop and lead data-driven productivity initiatives.
• Work with Reliability Engineers in identification of root cause for equipment failure and development of long-term resolutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• At least 2 years’ relevant experience in technical/operations function in petrochemical/chemical manufacturing.
• Those without experience but are interested in Chemical Engineering are encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply technical knowledge in chemical process.
• Resourceful and possess excellent analytical & interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work in 12-hour rotating shift environment.

• Provides creative measures and Initiate improvement to work process in the area of safety, waste elimination, cost improvement and productivity improvement.
• Participates in reliability engineering analysis to drive continuous uptime improvement through defect elimination, troubleshooting and conducting detailed failure analysis.
• Provides trainings and share knowledge. Verify, validate, analysis past equipment history & current data.
• Troubleshoots and repairs faulty equipment. Execute predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance program for mechanical equipment on a timely basis.
• Provide support to the plant operations to improve reliability of equipment. Perform non-destructive testing and analysis on mechanical equipment such as Vibration Analysis and Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement.

Requirements:

• ‘O’ Level; Professional Certificate/NITEC in Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in chemical or petrochemical industry.
• Hands-on experience on fix and rotating equipment maintenance.
• Good team player and able to respond to after office hour call-up as and when needed.

• Perform maintenance for all plant Electrical, Instrumentation and DCS equipment
• Perform routine patrols, planned preventive maintenance and condition based monitoring activities
• Perform routine functional inspection of safety Instrumented systems and quality control equipment
• Conduct troubleshooting to identify and rectify the root cause of equipment failure
• Suggest and implement improvement ideas to advance equipment reliability, enhance productivity and eliminate waste.
• Perform housekeeping of maintenance area
• Timely entry of work activity into SAP system and good documentation follow up

Requirements:

Job responsibilities:

• Provide oversight on controllable factors to ensure successful achievement of the required EHS criteria with no compliance violations.

• Maintain and implementation of site Compliance Plan action items

• Main contact point for government interactions and agency inspections

• Provide necessary and timely support to site on matters relevant safety regulatory updates, interpretation, government interaction and others.

• Review and perform audits on 3rd party vendors and owner for EHS Audit, Legal, Fire protection and Medical

• Lead and conduct training and coaching relating to EHS/Compliance risks at the workplace, when required.

• Provide oversight in formalizing the Root Cause Analysis for incidents to identify individual and systemic failures.

• Ensuring that the Environmental Management System requirements are established, implemented, and maintained with the support from the respective owners

Job requirements:

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Health and safety or related field

• Good knowledge and application of relevant regulatory laws and regulations, code of practice

• Registered as a Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower.

• Registered as a Fire Safety Manager (FSM) with Singapore Civil Defense Force (additional)
