Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Asset Management Manager located in Zhuhai.
Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in some or all of the following areas:
Assets planning, allocation, capex forecast control, assets purchasing, rental, delivery management, idle assets internal transfer/disposal/external sale/auction by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
What a typical day looks like:
- Capital Equipment Strategy , Execution and Planning.
- Create annual execution plan and 3 year strategy to manage assets based on projected business needs.
- Drive Continuous Improvement of Utilization on key equipment areas.
- Validate the exact capacity requirements based on business plans
- Ensure Capacity is right sized to meet the future technology requirements.
- Develop strategy to meet alternative capacity solutions for short burst needs (Rental , Outsource etc.)
- Ensure all available company assets are considered thru coordination with sister sites.
- Work with internal and third parties to ensure inbound delivery schedules are maintained
- Cooperate with other internal entities to support their capacity needs if suitable idle assets are available internally at each respective location.
- Initiate the export / importation capital equipment where applicable
- Coordinate Assets disposal and ensure compliance to relevant process and procedures
- Develop process and procedure to support productivity, efficiency and compliance.
- Highlight to Global Asset Management of new technology or specific customer needs to ensure existing solutions are leveraged from other locations or planned into formal equipment evaluation process.
- Review and validation capacity analysis where new equipment demand is projected or planned
- Capital Equipment Investment , Vendor Selection and Compliance.
- Support Capex Forecast and Submissions Process
- Advise and propose to Senior Management on Investment Reduction opportunities.
- Ensure Supplier Selection process follows global AVL when applicable.
- In the case of localized Equipment solutions are proposed that local policy and procedure is adhered to
- Control purchase order issuance to ensure approved investment is still applicable based on current capacity requirements (May changed based on approved capex amount)
- Ensure Vendors are aligned with capacity needs plans at early stage.
- Validate Paybacks where applicable (Example – Custom Automation projects)
- Support the negotiation of rental agreements
- Ensure local price proposals are aligned to Global Supply Agreement / local price standards.
- Idle assets disposal , Compliance and Brokers Management.
- Work with internal sites to get completed idle assets list, including EAM data and real conditions.
- Review internal needs files, allocate workable idle assets to the sites with solid demand.
- Review the internal idle asset sharing result, timely update idle list, ensure to remove the assets internal sites have booked.
- Conduct external sale / auction for idle assets without internal takers based on fair transparent principle.
- Ensure to follow flex compliant procedure to dispose idle assets.
- Involve qualified brokers/suppliers and remove incompliant brokers/suppliers from distribution list.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training. Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of working experience.
- Strong Equipment technical data analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Mandarin
- Import & Export Expert (familiar with import equipment process)
- Finance related knowledge
- Prefer IE or strong asset management background
- Experience in contract and cost negotiations
- Experience with China customs process; related tax and labor laws
- Good comment in English
