Responsibilities
Our focus is on providing high quality ecological expertise to ensure our client’s projects move forward while ensuring protection and benefits for nature and wildlife. As a key member of the team you will undertake a wide range of ecological consultancy contracts on behalf of NWS clients including:
• Protected species surveys and assessments (including bats, great crested newts, water voles, reptiles, Schedule 1 birds)
• Site and Habitat surveys and assessment
• Conservation management advice (species and habitats)
• Ecological Clerk of Works on selected projects


We are looking for someone with a degree in ecology or its equivalent as well as a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in ecological consultancy or equivalent sectors
You will enjoy working as part of a small, committed team and relish the challenge of working with a range of clients on different projects. In addition, you will ideally have:
• Experience of ecological field survey work.
• Understanding of relevant UK environmental legislation.
• Membership of (or working towards such) the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), or equivalent professional body with professional code of conduct.
• Experience in report writing (including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, management plans and Ecological Impact Assessments), and development of mitigation measures.

Your new role:

The main purpose of the role will be to act as the first point of contact for incoming customer calls, ensuring a first-class experience is had by all. Specifically, you will be responsible for the following:

• Handle any simple account queries in a friendly and timely manner

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative practitioner to join our adult community learning disabilities service Intensive Support Service (ISS) as the new B7 Team Leader. The ISS is a small MDT working across Norfolk and Waveney in partnership with our colleagues at Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Trust comprising of a medic, SaLT, OT, Psychology and registered and non-registered nursing roles.



The ISS provides 7 day a week support 09:00 - 17:00 delivering care and treatment to those adults at risk of placement breakdown and admission to hospital.

The work is challenging and rewarding and you will be joining an experienced and supportive operational management and professional leadership team focused on delivering the best care and treatment we can with the recourses available.

We have given Norwich as the base for this post, however, there is flexibility as to where the successful applicant will be based, we have 5 offices across Norfolk that could be used as a primary base to suit your needs.





· The post-holder will be responsible for the clinical, managerial and professional leadership of the Intensive Support Service (ISS) across the county of Norfolk. They will be responsible for the management and clinical direction of ISS clinical staff ISS to provide an intensive specialised community care for people with learning disabilities. They will also be responsible for a defined caseload of patients with complex health needs, using evidence based/patient principles to assess, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate interventions to meet the needs of the person with a learning disability and additional complex mental health/behavioural needs.

We have two positions available, one providing therapeutic support to Children and Young People, and another providing support to Adults - both with Complex Mental Health Issues.

Band 8a Psychologist.
Pay: £35 LTD p/h + £250 Welcome

Key Responsibilities:

• To communicate highly complex and sensitive information to clients and to other agencies where there may be differing opinion, hostility and the potential for violence. Clinical work will involve frequent involvement with highly emotive and distressing casework.
• To carry out comprehensive psychological and cognitive assessments and formulate and implement psychological interventions.
• To provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing to the patient's formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan and to provide advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and management.

Essential:

• Post-graduate doctorate degree (or its equivalent if trained prior to 1996) in clinical psychology, accredited by BPS
• Ongoing further specialist training / accredited short courses.
• Supervisor training, to be a supervisor of doctoral programme clinical psychology trainees or willing to undertake training.
• Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

Clinical Assess, plan, implement and evaluate all aspects of patient care, enabling the safe administration of IV medication in peoples own homes. Following a holistic assessment, devise an individualised, evidence-based care programme for each patient, modifying it as required. Assess patients holistic needs, communicating complex and sensitive information to patients and carers as to their assessment, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plan. Where there are barriers to understanding, such as hearing impairment, mental capacity impairment and other difficulties in comprehension, explanations require adjustments in order to gain understanding, consent and concordance. Be required to use tact and persuasive skills in order to gain the patients co-operation in their care management plan. Liaise with the Clinical Lead and Norfolk and Norwich University Trust clinicians when clinical concerns are raised. Liaise with UCR, Supportive Care, GPs, Social Services, inpatient teams, other allied health care professionals and the voluntary sector to ensure identified needs are met and care co-ordinated appropriately. Be aware of assistive technology and utilise where appropriate. To participate in multi-disciplinary/multi-agency meetings as appropriate, e.g. Gold Standard Framework. Ensure own caseload is planned and prioritised according to service targets and patient need. Ensure patient held records are completed for each visit, and that SystmOne inputting is completed on a daily basis. Demonstrate dexterity and co-ordination when using specialist equipment and fine tools, advanced sensory skills, manual and mobilising skills. Be skilled at intravenous cannulation, IV line management and general phlebotomy, following local policy and guidance Contribute to the requisitioning of supplies and equipment through electronic ordering systems. Ensure informed consent is obtained prior to initiating interventions. Will be exposed to bodily fluids, infected material, blood products on a daily basis, therefore must utilise universal precautions and adhere to infection control policies. Become competent in numerous nursing skills to provide urgent and unplanned response to patients to prevent avoidable admissions to hospital. To deliver, monitor and progress education activity and exercise programmes for patients with Post Covid Syndrome using own clinical reasoning, notifying a qualified clinician accordingly To provide an individualised exercise programme or group programme suitable for the patients level of ability, increasing the level of intensity for patients as they improve. To advise patients on a home activity programmes and other community programmes after they have completed the course in order to maintain benefits. To participate in patient education sessions. To work without direct supervision within a specialist clinical area undertaking tasks delegated by a qualified clinician. To establish and maintain links with local community-based exercise and activity providers. To demonstrate problem solving and contribute to the solution, working with colleagues. To undertake baseline physical observations and record results correctly. In addition, be able to identify anomalies that should be referred to a qualified clinician To plan and prioritise own work and visits and ensure these are recorded accurately in ledgers. Specific Duties To assist the clinicians and participate in assessment, treatment and discharge of patients with Post Covid Syndrome. Develop, adapt, monitor, and progress Post Covid exercise programme for individual patient and groups increasing the level of fitness as patients clinical symptoms improve. Carrying out group work, including education and prevention work. To implement treatment plans to more complex patients as delegated by clinical team member when needed. Take responsibility of patients without direct supervision, but under the direction of qualified staff in the performance of specific tasks for an individual or group of patients with chronic condition, as part of their treatment. To be aware at all times of the needs of the patients during illness or disability and to promote and encourage independence and restoration of function. To communicate with all other members of the multidisciplinary team, regarding changes in the patient condition or any other useful / important information. To communicate effectively with patients and carers. Communication skills of encouragement, motivation and explanation will be needed. Barriers to communication within the client group may include loss of hearing, pain, altered perception, fear, loss of confidence, psychological / cognitive issues and sensory impairment, language difficulties e.g.: English not as a first language, etc. To update patients records in a concise, accurate and timely manner in line with legal requirements and Trust Policies and Procedures. To communicate assessment and treatment results where appropriate to clinical colleagues in the form of reports and letters. To be actively involved in the collection of appropriate data and statistics for use by the Trust and / or department e.g.: inputting on SystmOne and to be involved in the audit process. To be involved with service updates, evaluate outcomes, and assist with service audits as necessary. To be involved with the training, development, and supervision of other unregistered staff as appropriate.
