This Transportation Security Inspector position is located in Will Rogers World Airport (OKC), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Transportation Security Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring security compliance of persons and transportation systems and entities regulated under the Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 1500 series. You will perform selected assignments and progressively responsible inspection work such as:

• Conducting less complex inspections or portions of more complex inspections.
• Applying basic technical inspection knowledge acquired in formal core training and on-the-job training (OJT), along with any limited experience gained prior to or after such training.

Serves as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist, applies a comprehensive knowledge of the technical aspects of the work directed including but not limited to receipt, inspection and storage of materials required for the effective and efficient maintenance and operation of the NAS. As the Branch Manager, directs and assigns work of team members, evaluates work for achievement of goals/ objectives, balances assignments and approves leave requests. Participates in developing responses to bargaining unit inquires, grievances, and notification to union representatives. Reports and makes recommendation to the Division manager on performance, progress and training needs of employees, complaint resolution, and disciplinary actions. - Directs the development of the logistics support plan and guidance for units, organizations and activities in support of federal and state missions to integrate the following command logistic functions; plans, operations, policies, SASMO equipment on hand readiness, command property management, command supply discipline program, supply excellence program, Connelly Food Service Award Program, DoD National Transportation Association Award Program, food service.

- Evaluates logistics data and requirements from JFHQ staff, units, USPFO, NGB and other organizations to direct development and implementation of logistic support plans, policies, operations and other actions to support federal and state missions. Directs the establishment of the logistics operations cell to support the JFHQ Emergency Operations Center for federal and state missions. Responsible for advising the DOL DCSLOG/G4 on logistics support issues to accomplish mission requirements. Evaluates the logistics force modernization program to assure that materiel fielding is accomplished within established milestones. Develops and coordinates tactical logistics support requirements for the state. Serves as the primary advisor to the DCSLOG/G4 on logistics automation matters. Coordinates facility design and maintenance concerns of the DOL DCSLOG/G4with DEH, to include recommendations for supply and maintenance facility design and the repair of facilities. Management oversight of the General Services Administration Lease Vehicle Program (less recruitment and retention program).

- Performs a full range of supervisory functions. Implements accepted provisions of personnel management such as equal employment, merit promotion, career development, performance appraisals, employee counseling, incentive awards and position management. Selects or contributes to the selection of subordinates. Hears employee grievances and deals with union representatives as required. The primary purpose of this position is to direct, develop and implement policy programs and procedures for the accurate management of Supply Chain Management (SCM) planning and provides administrative and technical oversight to a lower-graded specialist. As a SCM Team Member, the position collaborates with the Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO), VAMC Senior Management leadership, Veterans Integrated Service Network staff (VISN), Veterans Health Administration (VHA) program office and Senior Management and leadership in supported activities developing supply chain management strategies in support of f the VA Health Care System and supported catchment area.

Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:

• Integration - Resolves or contributes to the resolution of assigned high-priority logistics, supply, distribution, information or service problems through personal action or immediate coordination with required local personnel/activities. Establishes procedures for the integrated efforts of SCM operations with services throughout the VAMC and supported activities for mission essential deployment of SCM EMRT planning. Ensures that all assigned personnel and equipment are properly identified and prepared for deployment during simulated and actual emergency response exercises. Performs logistical assessments of strategic supply support in coordination with the supported customers and alerts management of systemic problems. Troubleshoots and resolves issues where supply chain deficiencies affect the mission. • Analytics - Analyzes the effectiveness of logistics and vendor support services. Develops ongoing strategic analyses across supply chain activities and recommends solutions for improvements. Researches and studies private industry as well as Department of Veteran Affairs best practices to develop and apply concepts that best fit and support Supply Chain requirements. Supports long range supply chain requirements and interactions, optimizing supply chain support.
• Training and Customer Service - Develops logistics and supply chain management training opportunities and customer supply chain systems, programs, support offerings, supplies and services to collaborative partners and customers. Participates in the development of education and training documentation. Communicates with customers and personnel on the role logistics plays in maintaining comprehensive logistics support, operational readiness and sustainability.

As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER (TITLE 32), GS-0346-13, you will:

• Manages complex base logistics functions to include Operations Compliance, Cargo Movement, Air Transportation, Logistics Plans, Vehicle Maintenance and Management, Ground Transportation, Fuels Management and Material Management.
• Directs and coordinates logistics activities including the authorized procurement and provisioning of supplies and services and management of materials and equipment.
• Exercises independent judgment involving major decisions and actions that have a direct and substantial effect on the organizations and programs managed.
• Manages all Wing and Geographically Separated Units deployment/redeployment processing, ensuring the deployment readiness of the members.
• Overseas the development and maintenance of the wing Readiness Reporting Program.
• Manages and briefs Senior Leadership on the Wings' War Reserve Materials, Support Agreement, and Base Support Plan Program development and sustainment.
• Conducts all phases of personal property management, supply management, and logistics support for all supported agencies within the Wing and any supported Geographically Separated Units.
• Manages the base Logistics Squadron Commanders Inspection Program which includes the Squadron Self-Inspection Program and provides The Adjutant General with an Annual Statement of Assurance via the Managers Internal Control Program (MICP) ensuring the health of all base inspection logistics programs maintain compliance.
• Ensures compliance with a wide variety of federal, state, and local regulatory laws, regulations and guidance and develops all logistics local policies and procedures, remaining aligned with higher level guidance and the Wing's strategic goals and vision.
• Provides definitive guidance on interpretation of regulations and directives, regarding all classes of supply and multiple logistics services, and assists units, organizations, and activities in installation logistics and transportation matters.
• Uses personal judgment and discretion with broad latitude to develop supplements to regulations and directives to fit specific state logistic requirements.
• Plans, recommends, develops and issues approved policies affecting logistics support and operations.
• Resolves policy issues at NGB and the State level of the organization where the complexity is such where other employees have been unable to develop solutions.
• Continuously monitors the state of logistic readiness capability thru utilization of the data and risk analysis process.
• Maintains oversight of availability and state of consumable supplies, repair of materials, the adequacy of personnel strength and training related to support missions.
• Provides senior level supervisory oversight for the Wing's Logistics Readiness war and domestic logistics capabilities.
• Ensures all squadron functions' plans, goals and standards are prepared to meet the needs of the wing's readiness requirements.
• Incumbent will recommend and participate in the selection of functional supervisors, assign responsibilities, provide guidance, approve leave, establish performance standards and conduct formal and informal appraisals of individuals and Flight performance.
• Reviews and evaluates performance indicators.
• Responsible for overall management of the units' resources, manpower, equipment accountability and internal controls.
• Provides oversight of resources devoted to the Wing's War Reserve Materials and mobility programs, for both personnel and equipment, while advising the Wing Commander on the most effective use of the organization's mobility and readiness budget.

• Receives fiscal information from each subordinate function and other agencies to assist with the development of the logistics portion of Operations and Management (O&M) Budget.

• Directs the Wing's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in support of local and regional exercises and/or real-world contingencies.
