As part of Burnbraes restructure we are looking to recruit to fulfil our goals for the service. Burnbrae is a 28 bedded residential care home supporting older adults who have a range of differing needs such as a mental health diagnosis, Dementia and/or frailty.

Our service is part of the Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership where we work closely with other professionals within a multidisciplinary team. Burnbrae is a well-established care home with a highly experienced, motivated, and passionate team of staff. Moving and Handling training together with an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential as there are opportunities to undertake this qualification within the Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership. The candidate must be able to register with the SSSC as a Practitioner in Care Home Services for older adults and hold or obtain the relevant qualification within the regulatory time scale.

You will work 37 hours per week which will include backshifts and weekends on a three weekly shift rota basis.

This post is temporary until December 2025 due to service requirement.

The School of Cancer Sciences is looking for a Technician to provide in-depth and specialist technical support to Dr Nigel Jamieson and his group which is focussed on multiple aspects of spatial biology, in particular spatial transcriptomics, cancer immunology and personalised medicine related to Pancreatic Cancer. Nigel Jamieson’s group, based at the Wolfson Wohl Cancer Research Centre, is also part of the Cancer Research UK Scotland Centre and is one of the largest volume spatial-omic centres in Europe.

The Jamieson Spatial Biology group uses cutting edge spatial transcriptomics platforms (Nanostring GeoMx, NanoString CosMx, 10x Genomics VISIUM, XENIUM, stereoseq) to accelerate preclinical and clinical development of novel therapies across a spectrum of cancers.

The primary aim of this role is to support the characterisation of premalignant pancreatic cancer tumours using spatial biology platforms; however, due to the leading-edge nature of our work, we also collaborate with multiple groups across the University of Glasgow Campus and with researchers across Europe. This role will therefore also support the spatial transcriptomics research component for a series of research projects and clinical trials.

This job will provide the applicant with outstanding experience in the highly desirable fields of spatial transcriptomics and spatial biology research. The Sheriff Appeal Court (SAC) Civil commenced in 2016, as part of the Scottish Civil Courts Reforms. The SAC (Civil) team is based in Parliament House, Edinburgh. The Court hears appeals against decisions from the sheriff courts.

Administrative Officers carry out a variety of general administrative duties to progress cases through the court or provide support to other functions within the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service.

To undertake a number of general administrative duties including:

To support the Clerk of Court and Assistant Clerk in efficiently processing the work of the Sheriff Appeal Court;

To establish effective communications and working relationships with the members of the Sheriff Appeal Court bench, legal practitioners and colleagues;

To process and distribute incoming mail which comprises of parts of appeal processes and other documents;

To assist in the processing of the daily business of the SAC (Civil), including, but not limited to:
*dealing with enquiries at the public counter, via mail, telephone and email;
*liaising with the procedural Appeal Sheriff;
*processing all aspects of civil applications received by the Sheriff Appeal Court, including stated case appeals;
*accounting for fees where appropriate;

The Governors of this popular and successful primary school wish to appoint an enthusiastic and hard-working, class teacher to join our friendly dedicated and successful school team to cover a maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is about to start their journey as a teacher or a candidate with teaching experience.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

Contract duration: Work up until Christmas, immediate start

Pay rate: £23 per hour

Our client requires a general Joiner (or a pair) with experience in fitting staircases, doors, skirtings, facings, and kitchens. The company's work is on small residential sites with bespoke build and renovation of older properties that are being brought back to the market.

The ideal Joiner will have:

• A CSCS card (preferred, but not essential)
• The availability to start immediately
• Excellent communication skills
