To undertake production of questionnaires, data collection, setting up of databases and spreadsheets, data analysis, and the production of reports and presentation of summaries to colleagues using IT and statistical programmes, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and SPSS. 2. To assist in the design and implementation of audit projects. 3. To undertake searches of evidence-based literature and research to assist qualified clinical psychologists in evidence-based practice in individual and team work, and work with other team members. General To contribute to the development and maintenance of the highest professional standards of practice, through active participation in internal and external CPD training and development programmes, in consultation with the postholders professional and team/operational manager(s). To maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping and report writing in accordance with professional codes of practice of the British Psychological Society and Trust policies and procedures. To undertake specific administrative duties as required, which will be a key element of supporting the service within this role. Under the supervision of a qualified psychologist, to assist with the production of materials to support the service in a variety of ways as it develops, such as developing posters and power point presentations to promote the service, developing service maps and reviews of wider systems, to support signposting etc. To perform other duties of a similar kind appropriate to the grade, which may be required from time to time by their Psychology Manager. To work in a highly emotive atmosphere and be able to communicate sensitive and complex information, whilst always maintaining a high degree of professionalism. We are looking for two enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking surgeons to join our department as members of our Trauma and Orthopaedic consultant team.

This will be a fixed term position for 18 months covering both trauma and elective orthopaedic surgery. The successful candidate will have a particular focus on hip and knee surgery.

This is a full-time post (10 PAs), with on call commitments and flexible operating PA’s where the expectation is that for each PA 42 sessions are delivered over a 52-week year. These PA’s will be picked up on an ad hoc basis from fallow theatre lists.

The post will entail a major input into the care of trauma cases within the department and the elective surgery will focus on hip surgery including hip preservation and arthroplasty.

The post-holder will agree a detailed job plan including personal and professional objectives with the Clinical Director once in post, but the job plan will involve trauma theatre, elective theatre, fracture clinic and elective outpatient sessions.


The appointee will be expected to fully contribute to the administrative, teaching and research activities within the department. All consultants represent the department on various committees within the trust as well as taking responsibility for particular delegated areas according to their interests and availability. The Clinical Director is responsible for delegating these responsibilities.


The appointee will contribute to the teaching of medical students and trainee Doctors and to participate in weekly postgraduate meetings of the Trauma & Orthopaedic Department as well as audit, governance and training meetings.

The post is in the Surgical Specialties Division, which sits within the Surgery & Cancer Board. The Divisional Clinical Director is Professor Fares Haddad. The post-holder will be accountable to Mr Sam Oussedik, clinical lead for Orthopaedics

- Oversee the creation of individualised, person-centred support packages that work towards meeting identified outcomes with the service users, their carer's and the purchasing authority.

- Take an active role in reviewing and amending service packages in partnership with branch staff and central teams.

- We regularly evaluate service goals and quality objectives and need our Registered Managers to undertake this and deliver actions for areas identified as requiring improvement.

- Accurate and legible records are key to help us monitor our support for our service users but also to meet our regulatory requirements. You will be regularly auditing our records and files to make sure they meet standards.

- Whilst our people and service users are our most important focus you will also be responsible for overseeing the implementation and monitoring of Cera policies and procedures as well as taking action where individuals do not adhere to these.

- Ensure compliance with statutory and Cera requirements on all reportable areas within the service provision.

- Maintain the operations of Cera at the standard agreed with the Regional Director and Quality & Compliance team, within the financial budget or other parameters set.

- Partner with Finance and Operations colleagues to measure weekly expenditure to ensure budget is maintained.

- Develop and maintain effective working relationships, particularly with our Business Development teams and Local Authorities so we can acquire new contracts and support packages.

- Commit to join and actively participate in the Skills for Care Managers Network to help to further develop our profile within the industry.

- Plan and attend regular meetings with all stakeholders to keep abreast of views, developments, opportunities and expectations.

What we're looking for:

- Previous experience working in a regulated care environment is a must.

- RQF Diploma level 5 Health and Social Care would be desirable but not essential.

- Someone compliant with the knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.

- A leader, someone comfortable leading a team and overseeing budgets.

- Knowledge of leading a team and working within a multi-disciplinary environment.

- Previous experience of working as a manager within a domiciliary setting.

- Experience of working with Service Users who have additional support or complex needs.

A day in the life of a Warehouse Stock Operative

As a Warehouse Stock Operative, you will work as part of a dynamic and supportive team in what can be described as a fast-paced and target driven environment to ensure the stock entering or leaving the depot is accurate.

Our activities vary, so often, you may be required to work across multiple different workstreams such as Goods Inbound checks, Picker Accuracy audits and Load Adherence checks most of which require periods of manual handling.
