Halo Recruit are working in partnership with Currys to recruit for a number of experienced 7.5 Tonne Delivery Drivers / Installers to join their teams based out of Newark, Nottinghamshire.
Duties of the Role:
- Driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle, carrying out multi drops to domestic properties to deliver white goods
- Loading and unloading the vehicle, lifting and carrying heavy white goods with the assistance of a Drivers Mate, ensuring strict adherence to Health and Safety at all times
- Delivering to customers (white goods, wet and dry), ensuring excellent customer service and professionalism at all times
- Installing a range of different products, with full training provided
- Contacting customers via phone to advise of arrival times, etc.
- Completion of paperwork to a high standard, ensuring accurate information is recorded
- As the face of 'Currys', ensuring that excellent customer service is delivered from start to finish
Desirable Experience:
Candidates will be required to hold a full Class C1 (7.5 Tonne) UK / EA driving licence, with no more than 6 penalty points. They must also hold an in-date CPC card and digitaco.
We are seeking candidates who have previous experience working in a similar role, and who are committed and reliable, and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
This is a temp to perm placement, with the opportunity to gain a full time contract after just 8 weeks (subject to performance, conduct and attitude) therefore only candidates looking for a long-term, permanent position who can commit to the shift pattern advertised should apply.
We are seeking candidates who have a good work ethic, a love for customer satisfaction and who are able and willing to handle heavy goods in a safe manner.
Shift Pattern
The Company offers a rota to all colleagues, providing them with consistent shifts. The shift pattern is a 5 on, 3 off shift rota. Therefore, candidates must be aware that some weekend working will be required. Only candidates able to commit to a 5 on, 3 off shift pattern should apply.
Hours of Work
Shifts start at 7am and typically last between 8-10 hours, depending on routing, traffic, etc.
Rate of Pay:
This role pays £13 per hour, paid weekly in arrears.

Induction / Start Date:
This role is an immediate start and will require candidates to undertake a paid induction.
