• Plan, implement, and guide national investigative programs, including the investigative proactive review program for the OIG/Office of Investigations.
• Interpret OI, other law enforcement, agency and Federal guidelines to ensure that the difficulties in completing any investigation or project are carefully considered (such considerations should include the intricacies of the steps and methods employed) and successfully addressed.

You will be responsible for:

• Manages the day-to-day operations of one of the National Maintenance Control Centers (MCC's).
• Supervises the specialists and administrative personnel assigned to the MCC.

• Works independently with the National and/or Regional Training Coordinators to develop an annual training plan to keep MCC specialists updated on maintenance technology.

The Acquisition Analyst provides oversight and definitive guidance to DOL acquisitions personnel by researching applicable laws and regulations, updating procurement policy and procedures, providing training, making recommendations to the Director of Policy & Project Management Division (PPMD) on procurement related issues, and discussing procurement-related issues with other Federal agency personnel.

Major duties of the GS-14 Acquisition Analyst include:

• Providing technical assistance in the acquisition areas by reviewing activities, answering questions, or offering solutions to problems encountered within DOL acquisition and program offices during market research, source selection, negotiation or administration of contracts.
