An opportunity has arisen for either a Procurement Officer or a Trainee Procurement Officer to join the Procurement, Commercial and Contract Management Team, dependent upon the candidates’ qualifications, skills, and experience.
The successful candidate would be responsible for carrying out the effective purchasing of goods, works and services on behalf of the Council, and effectively managing contracts with suppliers to ensure best value is achieved at all times.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to grow and develop their procurement skills within our Corporate and Education spend category.
The Procurement Officer role is a permanent post – candidates must have achieved their CIPS Level 4 qualification & willing to or already working towards achieving their CIPS Level 5 qualification.
The Trainee Procurement Officer post is a temporary post till July 2026 – candidates must be willing to or already working towards achieving their CIPS Level 4 qualification – salary will be dependent on progress.
Both posts are full-time – but requests for alternative work patterns will be considered.
