We are currently seeking a passionate full time Physiotherapist to join a busy team in Canberra.
This is a diverse role comprising physiotherapy specific assessments, interventions and planning predominantly in the NDIS and home care package space to increase people’s function and independence in all aspects of their lives.
The position of mobile physiotherapist is to provide a high quality, effective and efficient physiotherapy services to clients accomplished by working as a member of the integrated multidisciplinary health care team with a focus on providing person centred, holistic and goal directed care that promotes clients’ wellness and active participation in decisions about their care.
Day to Day task and duties:
- Coordination of appointments
- Completing and managing service agreements
- Undertaking comprehensive home-based assessments
- Developing holistic, client centric and outcomes drive care intervention and care plans
- Providing support and assist clients, carers and families with the implementation of intervention plans and programs
- Monitoring, evaluating and modifying treatment to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of intervention
- Travelling to and from the participant's home
- Writing comprehensive reports and physiotherapy plans based on your advanced clinical understanding, application of various clinical assessments and implementation of appropriate interventions
- Responding to emails
- Providing ongoing care
- AHPRA registration
- NDIS orientation module
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy
- A high level of professional judgement and knowledge to provide a wide range of therapy supports
- Advanced clinical understanding
- At least 3 years clinical physiotherapy experience
- Experience/understanding of working in the NDIS (highly desirable)
- Demonstrable clinical and rehabilitation skills and experience
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Commitment to client outcomes and evidence-based practice
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a supportive team environment - team player
- Attention to detail and skills in analysis, planning and problem solving
- Willingness to travel and provide in-home care
