As a Facilities Leasing and Management Branch Chief within the Office of Management Services, some of your specific duties will include:
- Develops and implements strategies to ensure bureau-wide space acquisition projects and policies, standards, processes, and procedures are aligned with new and existing Statutes, Executive Orders, Department of the Interior (DOI), General Services Administration (GSA), and other Federal standards and regulations.
- Monitors trends and developments in lease acquisition and management, design, consolidation, engineering, and construction to include analyzing impacts on the program, identifying opportunities, and modifying or applying new techniques, applications, methods, or processes for improved project, program and mission delivery.
- Serves as Principal Bureau Technical Advisor for real estate, space, and lease acquisition to provide the most current up-to-date information on the Department of the Interior (DOI), General Services Administration (GSA), and other regulatory guidance essential to the legally sufficient and orderly accomplishment of the Office of Management Services mission.
- Oversees and monitors the execution and administration United States Geological Survey (USGS) space acquisition and tenant improvement projects totaling $90 million annually in rent and manages/oversees on average $8-$10 million a year in tenant improvement projects, facility construction, and operational work.
- Supervises the activities of the branch through the work of professional/technical staff who provide facilities planning, acquisition, and administrative support to bureau science centers to include managing all aspects of space acquisition, construction, and tenant improvement projects to include the full range of supervisory authorities and responsibilities related to position management, hiring, employee relations, equal employment opportunity, labor management relations, and property.
- Operates a government owned or leased vehicle as incident driver.
