This is meaningful work
As a live-in care specialist, you’ll provide companionship and support with personal care, domestic tasks and housekeeping (cooking, washing,ironing, vacuuming etc), so your client can live well in the home they love.

You’ll have the opportunity to support people living with a variety of conditions, enabling you to further develop your skills and knowledge. All placements are within 70 miles of Oxford, so you must be able to travel to your client’s home.

What you’ll need:

There is a post available for a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine with or without additional sessions in a related specialty at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of Intensivists and be involved with the re-development and expansion of a successful and thriving Critical Care Department.

The successful applicant will join the Critical Care team of 16 consultants. The Trust provides critical care services on two sites: Stoke Mandeville Hospital [12 beds] and Wycombe Hospital [6 funded beds, with infrastructure for 8 beds] and a Critical Care Outreach service at both Stoke Mandeville and Wycombe hospital sites, servicing a population of 0.5 million with 900 admissions across both sites annually.

Organisationally, the critical care department sits within the Anaesthetic and Critical Care Service Delivery Unit (SDU). The intensivists have anaesthetic or emergency medicine sessional commitments. The department would be able to accommodate consultants from other appropriate allied specialties within the Intensive Care Unit. There are also options available for a single-CCT intensivist with specifics depending on the interests of the applicant. Out-of-hours activity would be in Intensive Care for this post, with full participation in the ICU on-call rota.

Relocation Support would be considered as per the Trust’s policy.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and dedicated Intensive Care Consultant to join a team of intensivists within the department of Anaesthesia and Critical Care. The successful candidate will take part full-time in the Critical Care on-call rota at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and Wycombe Hospitals. The post comprises Critical Care cover as detailed in the description above and job plan below. If the allied specialty is anaesthetics, there will typically be 2-4 anaesthetic sessions in the non-Critical Care weeks. For other allied specialties, the make-up of non-Critical Care weeks will be negotiated with the respective SDU leads.

We are currently recruiting for an Applications Engineer to join an established Automotive products company, based in the Milton Keynes area.

The successful candidate will be involved in the complete life cycle of products, from conception, specification, user acceptance testing and pre/post-sales support, delivering innovative solutions to clients across the Automotive Industry Sector.

Candidates will require a strong foundation in Automotive Engineering and previous experience of the Automotive Test Environment with the ability to understand and adapt existing products to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse and identify current and future needs of Automotive customers, proposing innovative solutions to requirements
• ​Manage and lead all aspects of the product life cycle, from conception through to release, working to deadlines and adapting plans as necessary
• ​Negotiate and agree actions and time scales for multiple, concurrent engineering projects with other project team members
• ​Communicate with the development and test teams and report back to management on product / project status
• ​Create and maintain detailed and accurate specifications that allow efficient development and testing of new products and features
• ​Complete user acceptance testing and provide feedback to the development teams
• ​Provide expert help and guidance to the first line customer support team and other areas of the business as required
• ​Provide pre-sales advice to customers and distributors, helping with quotations and on-site customer demonstrations and training

Experience Requirements:

• At least 2 years' experience in the Automotive sector, ideally within a Vehicle Test Environment
• Hold an Automotive Engineering Degree (HND may be considered with additional relevant experience within Vehicle Testing.
• Experience of collecting and analysing test data, ideally from moving vehicles
• ​Experience in reading and understanding technical documentation such as Regulations, specifications and product data sheets/manuals
• ​Ability to understand and solve sometimes complex engineering problems
• ​Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• ​A full, clean Driver's licence
• Exposure to GNSS, INS and/or ADAS technologies would be highly beneficial
• Previous experience in a Sales and Customer Management orientated role would be advantageous

Your new role
As an IT Analyst, you will play a crucial role in delivering front-line IT services, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT estate and providing excellent customer service. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Deliver front-line IT service, responding to alerts and resolving customer incidents and service requests on a rotating 24/7 shift basis.
• Monitor the IT estate vigilantly, conducting quality triage of alerts or user contacts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve a variety of IT incidents, ensuring quick resolution and accurate recording of activities.
• Support the Major Incident Management process occasionally.
• Work as part of a team to ensure services are delivered within SLAs, providing First Contact Resolution (FCR) using Knowledge Base Articles (KBA) and subject matter expertise.
• Administer the Service Desk mailbox, phones, and monitoring screens, logging and recording all interactions, incidents, and service request tickets.
• Manage resolver group queue stacks, ensuring SLA clocks do not expire and tickets are continually updated or appropriately escalated.
• Contribute to technical documentation on known issues, errors, workarounds, and permanent fixes.
• Manage end-user expectations throughout the lifecycle of incidents or service requests.
• Liaise with Problem Managers, Incident Managers, and resolver groups to support resolution.
• Act as a technical liaison with third-party vendors during incidents.

What you'll need to succeed

• Ability to obtain (or currently possess) UK Government Security Clearance i.e. British nationality and residency in the UK for at least five of the last ten years - You will not be considered for the position without meeting this first criteria.
• The ability to work 12-hour shifts (mixture of day or night shifts) on a 24/7/365 basis, with the potential for additional hours and on-call requirements.
• On-site attendance is required at the specified location.
• Demonstrable record of delivering results and meeting targets.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop solutions focused on customer needs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
• The ability to build and maintain customer relationships and exceed expectations.
• Sound technical understanding of WINTEL environments.
• Previous experience working within a Service Desk environment, with knowledge of Incident and Request Fulfilment processes, priority classifications, and SLAs.
• Certifications such as Managing Modern Desktops (MD 101), Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), and Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD 100).
• Experience with 365 Desktop (Intune/EPM) Cloud and Apple Mobile Phone/Apple Business Manager.
• Awareness of IT Service Management frameworks (e.g., ITIL), Asset and Configuration Management, Problem Management, Operational Management, Systems Operations, Testing, and User Focus.
• ITIL v3/v4 Foundation certification.

The purpose of the role is to resolve Dealer, Brand and VWFS UK Sales escalations that are preventing achievement of VWFS UK commercial targets and directly impacting upon Dealer and customer satisfaction as well as being a key driving force in managing SLAs - bringing actions and task owners together.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be a key link between Dealer, Reginal Development Consultants and VWFS UK Sales workflow together with our internal departments to provide timely and effective resolution to specific escalations
• Thoroughly investigate complex escalations and assess for any risk and opportunities and inform appropriate stakeholders
• Taking inbound calls supporting the retailer network
• Create clear plans for managing the changing priorities of key dealer and brand contacts in order to support timely and effective resolutions to incoming queries
• Escalate process failings to the correct department and pull together factual investigations in order to support overturning or rectifying any poor customer, dealer or Brand outcomes
• Identify root causes to repetitive process failings, provide suggestions for improvement and be responsible for coordinating change request activity
• Work closely with the wider sales team to identify performance risks and opportunities so that we stay on track to hit our commercial targets
• Use Salesforce to manage activity and query resolution, ensuring the correct allocation of tasks to owners. Drive robust processes for follow up and completion, ensuring the department stay within agreed service levels
• Support Reginal Development Consultants with retailer coaching around VWFS process to ensure efficiency and right customer outcomes.

• Excellent written and spoken communication capabilities including telephony
• Full PC literacy essential
• High level of Customer service experience and ability to demonstrate use of initiative in order to aid departmental productivity
• IT literate with the ability to grasp new systems
