We’re looking for an individual with deep FM expertise to join our UK&E Growth team as a Bid SME – Facilities Management. In this role you’ll use your expertise to develop winning solutions for our customers, working with workstream leads across Serco to create and articulate our FM value proposition.
With a newly appointed FM Bid Director & FM Solution Director, a healthy pipeline of bidding activity and a clear strategy, now is a great time to join our FM team. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of some of the largest FM contracts into the public sector, you’ll also be part of a new team, building in-house FM expertise within Serco.
As part of this you will:
- Work with SMEs, Growth & Operational colleagues and specialists to develop solutions and translate into winning propositions for our customers.
- Capture subtleties and nuances within our solutions and to replicate the passion of our SMEs and operational teams within out bid responses.
- Support the bid team in the creation of storyboards and to ensure that these are adhered to throughout bid creation.
- Elegantly incorporate themes, USPs, sales messages, case studies and ‘hot button’ material into responses.
- Provide high quality bid writing services to bids of various scales and complexity on either an individual or portfolio basis.
- Create quality responses which are well-written, accurate, concise, and visually engaging and which effectively convey the required message, answer the customer’s requirements (including adherence to word counts, presentational requirements, and evaluation criteria requirements) and score well.
- Conduct additional research to supplement bid responses including collation and presentation of relevant data.
- Support the monitoring and continuous improvement of all quality of bid submissions ensuring high standards of attention to detail.
What you'll need to do the role:
- Expertise within Facilities Management, gained within a similar SME role or operational role.
- Highly customer focused and an excellent relationship manager.
- Record of driving innovation and excellence in Bidding FM contracts.
- Ability to quickly grasp and assimilate complex information and apply creative intellect.
- Good presentation & communication skills, comfortable presenting at SMT level.
- Methodical, process-driven and organised with excellent influencing skills and attention to detail.
