The role
As a Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be managing the Customer and associated management of the project including identification and monitoring of project risks (threats and opportunities). Together, we're innovating to make nuclear safer, faster and cost-effective across the nuclear energy life cycle. We're also bringing the UK closer to Net Zero, through our work with Hinkley C, Sizewell C and X Energy. As Cavendish Nuclear continues to expand, so do the possibilities.
Day to day, you'll plan and implement responses to threats and opportunities and respond to other issues that affect the project, you'll establish and maintain governance arrangements for the delivery of the project, defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities. Leading the project, you'll deliver world class performance by means of employee engagement, continuous improvement and identifying and implementing the latest technology and lead on Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality within the project. You'll also:

- Lead the project, you'll deliver world class performance by means of employee engagement, continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement the latest technology and lead on Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality within the project.
This role is a full time and permanent position. We offer hybrid working as long as you can travel to one of our hubs including Warrington, Leicester, Newbury and Bristol.
Essential experience of the Project Manager:
- Extensive recent and relevant experience in a similar environment/sector
- Ideally some experience in delivering design projects
- Full project lifecycle experience from bid phase through to close out
- Awareness of various contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC/NEC3/JCT etc…)
Qualifications for the Project Manager:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering / project / construction management or a related field (or equivalent)
- APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) (previously APMP) working towards
- Chartered Project Professional (ChPP)
- IOSH Managing Safely or higher safety qualifications preferred
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
