Main purpose of the role:
The Service Asset & Configuration Lead is responsible for the management of IT service assets, their configuration and components through their life cycle. This includes the compliance, audit and monitoring of service assets. You will lead on the assurance of licensing compliance, audit and monitoring, essential to ensure the control of software licensing costs attributed to software licensing assets.
The post holder is responsible for the local change advisory board for local, regional and national technology change management including ownership of Requests for Change Process.
You will be required to monitors costs, place requisitions and maintain financial records using appropriate tools. You will be responsible for identifying savings opportunities and providing underpinning evidence to ensure that savings can be realized. You will also be responsible for identifying business costs associated with unplanned outages.
Key Skills & Experience required:
Experienced in Service Asset and Configuration Management in a complex organisation and have experience of working in an ITIL based organsiation, specifically processes for Change Management, Release and Validation and ensuring that documentation of the supported components is available and in an appropriate form for those providing advice and guidance
You should have proven technical capability in completing asset audits and License Management including working with suppliers to determine entitlement, compliance and audit returns
Experience of promoting a positive and enabling culture that puts the customer at the heart of service delivery.
