The post holder will support the eRostering Manager in the Trust-wide implementation and system management of eRostering. The post holder will assist the Directorate Management and Ward/Department teams in their allocated areas in successfully implementing the full functionality of the eRostering system including, self-service, roster creation, roster administration, roster analysis/ approval, management dashboards, bank module and validating rosters for payroll.
The post holder will facilitate and monitor progress against the implementation plan including communicating the plan, aims & objectives, collecting & uploading directorate, department & individual data to enable roster creation, designing, delivering & evaluating training & training materials, monitoring progress against the plan, identifying, mitigating or escalating risks, identifying benefits realisation and ensuring resilience post roll out by fostering directorate champions.
The post holder will work with the eRostering Manager to ensure alignment of goals and priorities to achieve the overall implementation plan.
Support system users in ensuring that data held in the eRostering system is accurate and all updates are made in a timely manner. Attention to detail is key to this role.
Provide support and guidance for roster managers, roster administrators, directorate management teams and staff using the staff portal.
Use rostering knowledge to understand the demands on wards/departments to deliver an effective roster, offering expertise and support to achieve high quality rosters.
Work with each ward/department to establish and maintain agreed unit and individual rules.
Facilitate and manage change within the organisation by championing the rostering system and encouraging others in its use.
The eRostering team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital provides system management and supports all users of HealthRoster and its associated modules. The service scope is extensive, including, but not limited to;
· System Management (HealthRoster, NHSp, SafeCare, Roster Perform and Loop)
· Scheduled and bespoke training sessions
· Policy development
· Guidance on policy application for HealthRoster and other HR Policies
· Representation and membership of ICS meetings
· Regular and bespoke reporting
· Supports the monthly UNIFY submission

You will be educated to Degree level in a relevant subject or have equivalent experience, with excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience of using complex rosters is essential and ability to effectively manage and prioritise own workload to meet varying deadlines.
You will need to possess effective verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work individually as well as part of a team and have a clear understanding of confidentiality.
Experience of contributing towards service improvement/development is essential.
