About the Role:

As a Recruitment Assistant, you’ll report to our Enquiries Manager and Recruitment Lead, ensuring the recruitment processes follow company policies and are executed accurately and on time. You will be the first point of contact for recruitment enquiries, communicating daily with candidates and clients to discuss roles, answer queries, conduct screenings, arrange interviews, and schedule client meetings. This role will involve coordinating all aspects of the recruitment function, so excellent communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.

A permanent full time vacancy has arisen for a Patient and Administration Support Assistant to work as part of the Suite 5 Administration Team.

You will provide full clerical and reception support to the Suite 5 Department and undertake general clerical duties for the Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Speech and Language Therapy Services within Suite 5.

You will possess or be working towards a typing/word processing/IT qualification (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of general office practices. Provide a professional clerical and reception service to the Therapies and Dietetic Outpatient Department (Suite 5) to ensure that patients, carers, staff and visitors receive a friendly, courteous and efficient service.

To receive patients in a professional and friendly manner, check their documentation details on the Medway and/or EPR (SystmOne) and direct the patient to the appropriate clinic.

Operate a VDU to access the Medway and/or EPR (SystmOne) systems ensuring that accurate patient computer records are maintained and arranging/changing/cancelling outpatient appointments in accordance with local policies and procedures.

To ensure that general clerical duties associated with the administration of the outpatient reception service, such as typing, filing, photocopying, collection of patient notes etc are carried out in a timely manner and to a professional standard.

Track patient medical notes at the request of a member of the Therapy service.

Ensure that documents are produced to high standard, from digitally dictated material or hand written notes and prioritise workload to ensure that required deadlines are met.

Answer enquiries, receive and rely messages, both in person, via e-mail and on the telephone, from patients or hospital staff, using a working knowledge of hospital procedures to maintain a professional front of house and clerical service.

Maintain associated equipment and material including stock items using the departmental ordering system, ensuring that all items are delivered to their final destinations efficiently.

Carry out general clerical duties including processing of referrals, scanning, filing, photocopying, sending and receiving faxes/e-mails and processing post.

Ensure all information leaflets and educational materials used by Therapy Services are produced, updated and printed.

Communicate effectively with GP practices, hospital staff, health and social services, other agencies and external contractors on behalf of Therapy staff.

We are looking to appoint a full time Consultant Physician in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Medicine to join our dynamic and developing team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

Applicants will be expected to have completed, or be within six months of completing, Higher Specialist Training in General (Internal) Medicine with CCT & entry onto the Specialist Register.

Participation in the medical consultant acute on-call rota is expected, on a 1:16 basis. Weekday on call will consist of post take ward round for two bays in EMU totalling 12 patients. There are no evening ward rounds, and the rest of EMU/CDU/short stay post take is undertaken by the acute medicine team. During weekend on call, working hours are 08:00 to 14:00 Saturday and 08:00 to 16:00 Sunday with night on calls only on Sunday.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team and provide leadership to our Stroke and Neurology OT service. The post holder will lead and deliver occupational therapy services alongside a dedicated team of OT staff, working on the hyper acute/acute/ rehabilitation stroke unit, and early supported discharge service. Early supported discharge operates as an outreach service from the stroke unit, enabling patients to continue therapy at home following discharge. We are seeking applicants with significant experience at a senior level, and who demonstrate specialist skills in Stroke/Neurology and rehabilitation. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding safeguarding practitioner to work collaboratively with, and in support of, the Senior Leadership Team, Site Leads, teaching and support staff to provide comprehensive care, support and guidance for pupils, to ensure the pupils are safe and attending education.

You may provide support for pupils across multiple sites, supporting staff with the pastoral welfare of pupils in all key stages. You will be responsible for arranging your own diary and working peripatetically in order to best meet the needs of the pupils. This role will involve ensuring that pupils receive swift support to keep them safe, identify risks and initiate rapid action. You will need to be aware of safeguarding thresholds, referrals systems for support and be able to communicate effectively with agencies, pupils and parents. Days will be varied in order to meet the needs of the pupils. You will also support with the arranging of pupil’s alternative provision timetables.

Esteem North Academy is seeking a flexible, committed, enthusiastic and highly skilled Intervention Assistant, to deliver phonics, literacy and reading interventions at our new Chesterfield site. The academy provides statutory education to children who are at risk of, or have been, permanently excluded. Pupils who attend the academy have challenging and often complex needs, and exhibit behaviours that prevent them from attending a mainstream school. A significant majority are weak readers with reading ages well below their chronological age.

The successful candidate will identify pupils at KS3 and 4 who require reading intervention, deliver a variety of strategies and record and monitor progress and impact. Pupils will be supported to develop their reading ability so that they can access the rest of their curriculum and be a functional member of society when they leave our academy.

Applicants should have good knowledge and experience of working with Read Write Inc Fresh Start or of another Phonics programme. An affinity for pupils with behaviour, emotional and social difficulties is an essential quality for this challenging but rewarding opportunity. Applicants should be resilient, have high expectations, and a sense of humour. You will be working predominantly with pupils on a 1:1 basis and so must be able to build positive relationships. You will be responsible for working with the Site Lead and Phonics Lead to develop our phonics programme and ensure that we have the required resources and books. You will also support with staff CPD and a whole academy ethos of encouraging all opportunities for reading. This can occur remotely.

Esteem North Academy is seeking an additional flexible, committed, enthusiastic and highly skilled STLA to assist permanently excluded pupils, or those at risk of exclusion, with learning and engagement at our Barrow Hill site. This site educates primary aged children from reception to year 6.

The academy provides statutory education to children who are at risk of, or have been, permanently excluded. Pupils who attend the academy have challenging and often complex needs, and exhibit behaviours that prevent them from attending a mainstream school. You will be allocated to a tutor group. The role will involve supporting pupils in lessons to engage in their learning and supporting pupils at break and lunch times. This role will involve working with small groups, or with pupils on a one to one basis to meet their needs as directed by the class teacher or site lead. Classes are small with approximately 2 to 7 pupils. There may be some daily home tuition when this is required to meet pupils needs.

Applicants should have good knowledge and experience of working with disaffected pupils in a school or other alternative setting. An affinity for pupils with behaviour, emotional and social difficulties is an essential quality for this challenging but rewarding opportunity. Applicants should be resilient, have high expectations, and a sense of humour. You must be able to build positive relationships with our pupils and think outside of the box. You will be responsible for contributing to a small staffing team to ensure that the site runs smoothly, and this may involve stepping up to deliver lessons in staff absence, to small groups or 1:1. We have developed a variety of bespoke learning pathways to meet the needs of our pupils. This role is to ensure that all pupils receive an education even if they are not school site or group ready.
