Your new company
This multi academy trust has over 35 schools as part of the trust, based in the North West and Yorkshire and is continuously looking to expand the trust, either through new schools joining the trust or the building of new schools, and it is therefore an exciting time to join. This particular role will be based at a school based in the Swinton area of Manchester, however you will become part of the central IT team and therefore, travel to other Manchester sites may be required, but they are all local. The school has gone through a significant period of improvement with a recent OFSTED grading of GOOD and you will be joining an incredibly supportive central IT team.
Your new role
Reporting to the Regional IT Manager, you will become an integral part of this central IT team consisting of over 35 IT specialists who all work closely together to ensure a high level of IT support is required to ensure the highest quality of teaching and learning is available to pupils. As Network Manager, you will be responsible for providing daily IT support to the school, working closely with end users including pupils and staff and supporting the wider trust with the ongoing delivery of IT projects. From a support perspective, this will include the building of hardware, installation and upgrading of software, setting up of equipment and advising end users on the use of new equipment or technologies. On a daily basis, you will work with end users around any service requests, as well as ensure the procurement of any new IT equipment which is required. The role will also involve network and cloud platform support, where you will perform basic diagnostic routines, allocating software to servers and ensure connectivity for the site. In addition, the trust is continuously delivering on new projects, working with advanced technologies unique to the education sector, and you will therefore be involved in the delivery of these projects in school. This is the ideal role for either an established Network Manager to move to a trust role where you will continue to develop, or for a Senior IT Technician from a school or trust to further progress in their career.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you will have recent experience working in an IT role in the education sector, whether this be a multi academy trust, school or college, and you will have a passion for providing a high level of support in this sector. A proactive mindset and strong communication and relationship-building skills will also be key to the success of this role.

In return, you will be paid a competitive salary of between £35,000 and £39,000 dependent on experience, and you will receive an attractive benefits package.
