Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Network Analyst to join our Information Technology team. This role is pivotal in the design, maintenance, and enhancement of Stirling Council’s network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise across key network components including switches, firewalls, web filtering, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and comprehensive network security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design & Implementation: maintenance of robust network solutions to meet organisational requirements.
• Switches & Routing: Configure and manage network switches, ensuring optimal connectivity and performance across Council facilities.
• Firewall & Security Management: Implement and maintain firewall configurations and policies to safeguard data integrity and prevent unauthorised access.
• Web Filtering & VPN Administration: Oversee web filtering protocols, ensuring compliance and security, and manage VPN services for secure remote access.
• Wi-Fi Network Management: Deploy and maintain wireless networks, ensuring reliable coverage, bandwidth optimisation, and security standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Essential:
  • Demonstrated experience in network design and support, particularly with switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Proficiency in web filtering, Wi-Fi networks, and network security protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of network security practices, compliance requirements, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Desirable:
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a public sector environment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Stirling Council Facilities Management for a Facilities Supervisor on a permanent basis.

The posts will involve providing 30 hours per week support for Stirling Council cleaning service staff on a 52 week basis between the hours of 7am and 8pm, Monday to Friday as required by the service and paid at Stirling Council Grade 6.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate supervisory and training skills and also extensive experience of cleaning duties; including the use of cleaning machinery, cleaning chemicals and knowledge of Health and Safety in a cleaning environment.

Supply Support Worker Early Childhood Educator (SWECE)

An opportunity has arisen for Supply Support Worker Early Childhood Educators. This post has been created to recognise the important support role required as part of the ELC Expansion. Candidates should hold or be working towards a relevant ELC qualification, at minimum of SCQF level 6. This role provides a career pathway in ELC where interested SWECEs can, in the future, explore further training to work towards a level 7 qualification.

Supply Early Childhood Educator

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Early Childhood Educator equipped with the necessary skills and competencies to work effectively to deliver high quality practice. You will work across passionate and motivated teams to create a stimulating, high quality play environment for children and families. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and innovative. You will be highly motivated, with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. You will show a commitment to continuing professional development and actively engage in developments to ensure positive outcomes for children and families.

Applicants should be explicit in detailing the required skills, experience and attributes that you are able to bring to this post. You will be SSSC registered prior to appointment, or register within 3 months of your appointment.

This is a supply post (zero hours contract), where you will be added to a supply list who are able to cover in a variety of Stirling ELC settings in both urban and rural locations (suitable / manageable locations can be discussed at interview). Candidates are required to be available to work shifts between the hours of 8am-6pm, ideally across the full year. Hours of availability can be discussed at interview.
