The role

As a Management Accountant you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for the financial management of the Military Flying Training System (MFTS) contract, with a particular focus on increased controls around budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

Day to day, you'll be responsible for the reporting of monthly accounts, budgets, forecasts and strategic plans for your contract areas, and act as a key member of the Business Facing Finance team. Key duties will include:

• Production of timely and technically accurate contract/site accounts, budgets, forecasts and strategic plans including variance analysis
• Production of timely and technically accurate budget, forecast and strategic plan reports and presentations for the BU Finance Director
• Business partner with the operations teams supporting them with meeting their forecasts and budgets, and providing analysis and insight

Essential experience of the Management Accountant:

• Demonstrable experience in a similar Management Accounting role
• Ability to understand and manipulate data to present clear and concise financial messages for review
• Strong IT skills, in particular Excel to intermediate / advanced level
• Experienced in the use of Finance systems (e.g. SAP, Navision, IFS or similar)

As a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll have responsibility for variance analysis and consolidation reporting for the Training Business Unit (BU), ensuring that Sector finance leadership are provided with timely and accurate information to support reporting to Group, as well as evaluation and decision making.
