Job Title: Marketing - Student Photographer (NFWS)

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a Student Photographer to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCE's Marketing and Multimedia department.

Purpose within the Organization:

The purpose of the Photographer will be to assist in the creation of images for the Marketing Department as well as assisting Full Time Employees with Photoshoot needs.

As a Student Photographer, you will have the opportunity for hands-on experience with our team of photography professionals.  You will gain real-world experience working and assisting on active client shoots, as well as producing your own. In addition, you’ll also have hands-on access to gear, lighting, and camera workshops to enhance your industry knowledge alongside the production teams.

Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

• Provide and assists with photographic services for assigned projects which may occur on-location, off-site, or in the studio.
• Capture a wide variety of image styles such as action shooting, lifestyles, night scenes, event coverage, headshots, and studio work.
• Assist Full-Time Photographer with gear set up and breakdown for both on-location and off-location shoots.
• Aiding in data management and organization of digital assets.
• Editing images to meet company standards and guidelines while providing a full scope of the assigned project.
• Work independently as well as collaboratively to complete the assigned project.

Equipment Used and Responsibility:

As Student Photographers you are expected to use a Canon or Nikon DSLR camera for use in capturing events and other marketing assignments. You will use Photoshop, Lightroom Classic for photographic post-production needs, and advanced photographic strobes (training will be provided).

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of camera operation, including being able to operate a camera at an event or on set.
• Previous experience capturing events, such as Sports, concerts, parties, etc.
• Basic knowledge of photo editing software such as Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, and Adobe Camera Raw.
• Willingness to enhance photography skills by working with others and keeping up to date with enhancements to digital technology photographic trends.
• Must be physically able to capture shots which may involve climbing to reach heights and/or moving body in laying or bending positions, as well as being able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to lift 25-50lbs of gear and photographic equipment.
• Portfolio, website or examples of past photographic work (recommended, but not required).

Key Role:

Serve as Lead Planner for a team that performs advanced analytical and technical scenario design and planning tasks in support of collective training operations. Demonstrate knowledge of Joint and Army Warfighting Functions doctrine, tactics, techniques, processes, and applicable regulations involved in military operations at the Joint and Theater level. Develop supporting scenario products that include Road to Conflict, Scenario Timeline and Date Conversion Chart, Unit Listing with updated UICs, Base Task Organization, Base OPFOR, Base Unit location, including Graphics, Unit Start Locations, and Unit movements by time increments, Threat ML COA and MD COA, Concept Sketches of Maneuver, Sustainment, Protection, and Health Service Support. Develop doctrinally correct, complete Operations Orders with related maneuver graphics and synch matrices for Theater, such as Joint and CFLCC, Divisions and select Brigades with detail to support any RTU training objectives. Participate in Joint Exercise Lifecycle (JELC) workshops, including Collective Training Scheduling Workshop (CTSW), Training and Resource Requirements Workshop (TRSW), the Concept Development Workshop (CDW), Initial Planning Workshop (IPW) and Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) Development (MSEL DEV) Workshop, Mid-Planning Workshop (MPW), and Final Planning Workshop (FPW). Coordinate all planning throughout the JELC process. Answer all requests for information in a timely manner and in accordance with doctrine.

Basic Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in the military

• Experience serving on Army or Joint staffs

• Experience with developing Army or Joint Operations Orders

• Experience in exercise design, coordination, and execution, including events at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels

• Ability to prioritize work and complete multiple tasks under deadlines

After initial assessment, the prospective student will be forwarded to the appropriate counselor depending on area of interest. Purpose Within the Organization:

Position Summary / Purpose:

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a Student Worker Intern to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCE's Ground Traditional Enrollment department for the Parent and College-Prep team.  The purpose of this position is to assist the Program Development Specialist department in promoting the growth of the university through recruit-facing events, conversations, webinars, tours, and presentations on GCU’s campus, while providing a first-hand account of the GCU student experience.

Primary Responsibilities / Accountabilities / Essential Functions:

• Will be responsible for learning, understanding, and delivering program-specific information and programs to support GCU students and families.
• Delivers program-specific content through presentations at admissions activities not limited to but including Discover, GCU Day, GCU Live, etc., which may require set-up and tear-down.
• Assists GCE and GCU staff with program-specific content on organized tours for students, parents, administration, and other school-related personnel.
• Provides information to potential students / families through scheduled phone appointments, webinars, social media and other mixed media formats.
• Collect and input administrative notations to recruiting systems to track efforts.
• Assists in providing additional programmatic knowledge to lateral student workers in other departments that are recruit-facing.
• Keeps direct supervisor informed of progress and potential issues and makes recommendations to ensure plans are well coordinated and synchronized.
