We are looking for fresh or new graduates of Accounting and Finance who are keen and passionate to undertake a role in the finance and accounting division of our law firm. You will be assistant the Accounting Officer with her daily tasks and will play a pivotal role in the stabilisation of the firm's financial operation and position.

In order to succeed in this role, you should preferably possess the following:

- A diploma from a reputable college or university in the field of accounting and finance

- 1 year of relevant working experiences but fresh graduates will be equally considered

- Effectively fluent in both English and Mandarin

In this role, you will be expected to

- Issue payment vouchers for bank payments using Tesseract

- Update bank book when funds are received

- Perform bank reconciliations on office accounts

- Ad-hoc administrative tasks such as dropping cheques and bank visits

- Assist the Accounting Officer to update receipt of funds into the Tesseract system

- And of course, anything that can be of help to thr Accounting Officer, when necessary

• You will issue vehicle decals, civilian employee identification badges, visitor passes, contractor/vendor passes, and tradesman passes, maintain vehicle registration, and provide typing and clerical support.
• You will provide guidance and information on security regulations and procedures, exercising sound judgment and discretion in response to telephone and in-person security inquiries.
• You will prepare and issue Defense Biometric Identification Database System (DBIDS) badges with photographs for DoD civilian employees, vendors, and contractors.
• You will perform a variety of administrative tasks such as providing receptionist support, maintaining appointment calendars, and serving as civilian administrative liaison to the Human Resources Office (HRO).

• You will be responsible for processing military pay and personnel actions for personnel assigned to the command.
• You will facilitate permanent change of stations (PCS) orders for military personnel transferring, process temporary active duty (TAD) orders for personnel authorized for house hunting, job hunting, and career transitions.
• You will maintain records in accordance to Records Management policy and guidance.
• You will liaison between members of the command and processing centers responsible for pay and personnel actions to ensure completeness and accuracy of records/documents.

• You will serve as identification (ID) card clerk responsible for control over the receipt and and accountability for a variety of ID cards for active duty military, retired military, disabled veterans, military family members and DoD civilians.
• You will identify and analyze problems and issues concerning the work, determine interrelationships involved and determine appropriate methods and techniques to resolve matters.
• You will respond to a variety of telephonic and written inquires pertaining to eligibility for Uniformed Services, Common Access Cards(CACs) and ID cards.
• You will maintain and update training manuals and user guides.
• You will provide advice and first level customer assistance to CAC users.

• Review routine /non-routine referrals of applicant suitability requests that include, but are not limited to, debarment referrals and investigations that contain major issues.
• Make recommendations for review by a Personnel Security Specialist that include accepting referrals, return the referral to an agency if issues do not warrant OPM, and closing or returning a case that was inappropriately referred.
• Request additional information from agencies, from the subject, and from sources, to obtain information to establish jurisdiction or clarify or resolve issues in cases.

If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for legal assistant work in the Criminal Division. Typical work assignments will include:

• Prepares and processes technical legal correspondence and documents which are characteristically voluminous and complex in format.
• Organizes, processes, and copies documents in accordance with requirements.
• Conducts factual and legal research in legal and non-legal databases and provides requested information.
• Aids in preparing and organizing evidence for production as discovery and for use in trial.
• Contributes to reports summarizing the case status, including legal issues, factual issues, and case developments; manages case files (May require lifting case files and boxes up to 40 pounds)
• Provides administrative support to assigned attorneys.

1. Maintains and tracks Security Forces incident reports, tickets, barments, driving records, revocations, and suspense using the Security Forces Management Information System (SFMIS).
2. Maintains controlled items. Maintains control logs, files, accountability for tickets, and accident/incident reports that may be classified. Conducts quarterly audits to ensure all reports/tickets are accounted for in the file.
3. Provides administrative support to ensure efficient office operations. Receives and answers routine telephone inquiries or refers to appropriate staff. Receives and refers visitors.

Responsible for initiating, coordinating, and tracking initial and periodic re-verification (i.e. every five years) background checks, including local Installation Record Checks and Child National Agency Check with Inquiries (CNACI). Incumbent processes security employment suitability requests ensuring issuance on a need-to-know basis only; investigative basis is current, completed and favorable; initiates investigations as necessary; assists with review of Personnel Security Investigations (PSA); accesses the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) to perform personnel security checks, and utilizes the Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) to transmit documentation to the Central Suitability Office (CSO) and may transmit on occasion to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).

Incumbent initiates and completes all Childcare background documents, ensuring accuracy and uploads to the CSO for processing. Contacts candidates, employees, volunteers, CDH Providers and Family Members to initiate background check process requirements and provides instructions. Prior to submission of eQip to CSO will ensure all information is correct. Coordinates candidate's completion of CNACI and FBI fingerprints through the Central Suitability Office. Submits and tracks Installation Records Checks to Central Suitability Office. Reviews CSO spreadsheet/database on a regular basis.

Incumbent reviews background check results and identifies any derogatory or disqualifying information that may have an adverse impact on the security employment suitability eligibility determination and/or assignment or retention in a position. Upon receipt of derogatory information on employee or candidate, requests a statement from the employee. Upon receipt of statement, works with installation and/or Region Security management for evaluation and local suitability determinations. Upon determination, uploads documentation to CSO.

Incumbent helps perform other administrative functions relative to the overall operation of the NAF HR Office and responds to inquiries from management, departments/facilities serviced regarding processing of background checks.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
