We are looking for a researcher to join our research team to investigate the benefits of plant bioactive compounds on animal productivity in a collaborative project with academic and industrial partners. The project is addressing the huge wastage of plant crops that occurs during their processing, through the development of innovative and sustainable valorisation strategies that convert agri-food waste streams into next-generation feed additives to increase animal health and productivity.

In particular, you will focus on the extraction and analysis of phytochemicals from differently processed raw materials and encapsulated formulations, using a range of methodologies, to evaluate their potential for application as feed ingredients.

You will have an undergraduate or masters degree in Food Science and Nutrition, Food Science and Technology, or a closely allied discipline, and a strong background in experimental plant bioactive research with good analytical skills, e.g. chromatography, spectroscopy and bioactivity screening methods. You will be a good organiser, a team player, be highly motivated and able to communicate effectively with other members of the research team.

10110–40 hour - Regional Relief Trainee Pharmacy Assistant – Permanent Contract

We are looking to recruit a 40 hour Regional Relief Trainee Pharmacy Assistant on a permanent contract to work between all of our branches in region 19 which covers 11 branches in Leeds, Burley in Wharfedale, Guiseley, Menston and Otley area.

Usual working hours can range between 09:00 to 17:00, or 09:00 to 18:00.

Due to the travel nature of the role it would be ideal if you held a full driving licence complete with access to your own vehicle.

You are required to use your own vehicle for this role; therefore, if appointed your personal insurance policy must allow for business use. It is advised that you contact your insurer to obtain information regarding this prior to attending an interview. Please note that "business insurance" refers to the vehicle only, and not the contents. We are going to do this via social media (TikTok and Instagram), a website, andwellbeing workshops. • Manage the whole lifecycle of a project, reporting on progress and managing risks and issues, escalating where necessary to the project board.
• Develop appropriate, robust, information systems to ensure that all project documentation is stored and used effectively (PID, dashboards, highlight reports, risk and issues logs etc).
• Ensure benefits are identified, understood, measured, tracked and owned.
• Interrogate and analyse, sometimes highly complex, information to support the delivery of clear project reporting and project outcomes.
• Write and submit regular project reports for the programme board showing progress against milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies, making recommendations where a range of options may exist.
• Contribute to the development of key performance indicators and milestones for specific projects.
• Monitor and manage the budget effectively, acting in accordance with organisational financial policies and procedures.

The East Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre (SILC) is a 2-19 generic special school with 442 pupils on roll. All our pupils have special learning needs and some have physical/ medical difficulties. An exciting opportunity has arisen for Cover Supervisors to be appointed at the East SILC. The majority of our pupils have learning difficulties, and some have physical difficulties.
The Cover Supervisor will work alongside the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Senior Learning Support Leads (SLSLs) and teachers to provide cover for whole classes during the planned or unplanned absence of teachers and/or teaching staff. Cover Supervisors may also be required to cover other roles which support learning as directed by the Senior Leadership Team.
