What is the job role?

We are recruiting qualified Social Workers to work within our Mental Health Teams in Coventry. We have a number of social work posts, you will be based at Swanswell Point, Coventry City Centre.

You will be supporting people who are living with a range of mental health challenges including psychosis, mood and personality disorders, and self-harming behaviours.

The Teams work towards specific interventions embracing strength-based recovery practices, Safeguarding, The Care Act, Mental Health and Mental Capacity Acts. The Teams are fully Multi-Disciplinary, incorporating Community Mental Health Nurses, Approved Mental Health Professionals, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Peer Support Workers and Clerical Staff.

Regularly review the service area AHP workforce in collaboration with the Associate Director of Nursing and Associate Director for AHPs to ensure it has the right level of knowledge skill and expertise to deliver services in the most effective and efficient way. Responsibility for Financial and Physical Resources The post holder will support the Associate Director of Operations and the Trust in any agreed cost improvement plans. Responsibility for Staff To support and engage with seconded students in each service area and to take any remedial action as necessary and to inform the Associate Director of Nursing and Trust AHP Lead as appropriate. To liaise and interface well with education providers and academic institutions in the development and delivery of appropriate training for both pre and post registration AHPs to enable them to competently and safely fulfil their roles. Ensure staff in the service area work within the requirements of the European Working Time Directive. Responsibility for Information Monitor and evaluate Best Practice using relevant tools, including Benchmarking To ensure confidentiality is maintained. Research and Development To lead on the development and implementation of Audit programmes and Research & Development activity designed to enhance patient care across the service. To actively lead in research activity related to areas of clinical practice and to promote involvement of AHPs in research activity. Ensure that the identified service area contributes towards the Trusts Research Strategy.

What is the job role?

This is a rare and fabulous opportunity to join our Community Mental Health Teams in Coventry as a Team Manager.

You will manage a Team of professionals who work with people living with a range of mental health challenges including psychosis, mood disorders, and self-harming behaviours. The diverse team is fully multi-disciplinary and work towards specific interventions embracing human rights, promoting independence, strength-based recovery practices, Safeguarding, The Care Act, Mental Health and Mental Capacity Acts.

• You will be based at Swanswell Point and lead 2 Team Leaders, Approved Mental Health Professionals, Social Workers and Community Case Managers
• You will provide line management, professional supervision, reflective practice and quality assurance.
• You will be an Approved Mental Health Professional.
• You will have managerial experience and have the ability to work closely with our partner NHS agency, Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust, voluntary organisations, other statutory agencies and with groups, communities and individuals with lived experiences.
• You will support your team to address the social determinants of mental ill health, including housing, debt management, substance misuse and recovery based activities supporting people on their ‘best life’ journeys.
• You will work in partnership with people with lived experiences, co-producing, facilitating and promoting independence.
• You will help deliver the principles of the Care Act 2014, The Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act, you will support strength based practices within a least restrictive framework.
• You will be part of a Senior Management Team across Mental Health and Adult Social Care services and help develop quality assurance and have a strategic vision.
